It appears USFS has outsourced its event mgmt to an outside co. They sent an email about it, maybe it just went to members. Outside org is supposedly handling ticket sales, hotel blocks for fans, programming....basically anything under the heading of 'fan experience'. So these are paid people...

The booing wasn't just during the jury part and it wasn't about wuzrobbing favorites. There was one contestant who was booed, b/c of her nationality/religion. As noted upthread, it occurred throughout the event.
I don't think you need to be an expert on the judging to be opposed to a contestant being booed, heckled, bullied and subjected to death threats.
