Not a good outing from Maddie but she hasn't really improved her skating much since 2022 but she's gotten away with bad skates because she hasn't had anyone to push her in Canada. She even lost Nationals a couple of years ago and knew she was the only Canadian lady with the minimums to go to...
Amber and Alysa are so different in that Amber just with her face looks so stress all of the time when she goes out there and Alysa is smiling like nothing is bothering her even thought we know she gets those nerves like any competitor does. It is fascinating how some skaters like Alysa can hide...
What would be even more awesome would be if she was doing the 3a but it's understandable with the boot problems that she never had the chance to practice it. Alysa with a 3a would be hard to beat considering how tough she is as a competitor.
I'm getting worried for Alysa the last thing you want is boot problems or having to change programs during a Olympic year but she is dealing with both.😟
Really telling that the team sent to secure the 3rd spot in Beijing doesn't even have the Worlds CTES mins yet but a brand new team like Liu/Bedard already have them. 🤔
Who knows why Starr continues to get all of these assignments despite not doing much in terms of results and Josephine has not exactly set the world on fire internationally either.
I think the resentment of the Shibs is less about them and more that no one trusts the USFS to not have to some kind of sleazy deal in place to put the Shibs on the Olympic team over more deserving teams who skate better then them at Nats.
No country needed a comeback in Ice Dance from a former team any less then the US with all of the depth they have i really don't know why they are doing this. They aren't going to medal and they've been to two Olympics already. If they were serious they would have come back last season like V/M did.
