Piper and Paul were fantastic today! What a gorgeous FD. So happy for them winning the free and taking silver! So deserving and actually in my head, they are the World Champions. I remember back when they started together and the usual snark on FSU for them...they proved themselves quite worthy...

Epic is the word! I still can't believe what I saw. I was literally speechless. 40+ years of watching skating, I have never seen a skater do effortless jumps like that. Just fantastic. ILIA MALININ....WORLD CHAMPION!!!!!!

That was the dullest music I have ever heard for a FS. I haven't been following men much this season so this was my first time seeing this. You have to be completely clean to skate to that tinkly piano.

CPom came through at Worlds, great score. 7th overall and my feeling is they have established themselves as US #2 and maybe #1 depending on what C/B do. Anyway, I find them much better than all of the rest and I also think Z/K will be rising more. I have a heart for Pate/Bye and hope they see...

To be fair, Zachary Lagha got a L4 as well in the one foot. But CPom were stunning! 7th in the world!! They are on their way up for sure and I hope US ice dance rewards that...they have broken free from the pack of great teams, imo, in the US.

I think that is true. First they got rid of compulsory dance and now the RDs are generic decade dances. No more waltz or ballroom. All they want is folks coming out for figure skating events and clapping themselves silly. Because of the music and the fun. Ice dance in its original form is long...

Have to give huge love and kudos to my two favorite teams...CPom (were so good!!!) and LaLa (who were also so good!!). They are the ones I wanted to see do well and they delivered. Also had really good results. Time for them both to be on the podium!

That's not the first time that C/B get a sizeable lead in the RD and makes them mostly untouchable. But I do like them, don't get me wrong, they have been awesome representatives for the US. I just really wanted this for Piper and Paul.

C/B knows they won by reputation. They should anyway if they have any integrity. Congrats to Piper and Paul for winning the FD!! So deserving.

Piper and Paul...That was the best, hands down. No question in my mind. Would be thrilled to see them win. Probably won't but that was far and away the best.

No matter how hard I try, I just cannot see C/B as superior to many other teams. Never have. If ice dance has to be judged by reputation, then teams need to retire like they used to. It just gets old and the newer teams have little chances to move up. And what is going on with G/F right now? Do...
