How would Jamie Sale have done in singles if she did not find another pairs partner

She had a great triple salchow, a strong double axel, and a decent triple flip. With more focus on only singles she likely gains the lutz and loop easily, and her flip becomes more solid like her salchow and toe.

How would Jamie Sale have done in singles if she did not find another pairs partner

I doubt she would have had anywhere near the success she had in pairs. She simply was not a strong enough jumper for one thing. However she showed great promise in singles, I think she was 4th at Canadians once when she was still going through different pair partners between Jason and David...

Memorable Pairs Short Programs in the Olympics

Even worse, Sale & Pelletier had 2 1st place ordinals even though they fell and their SBD triple toes were badly out of sync. A disgrace.

Pairs Discussion Thread 2019-20: “Two skating as one”

They have problems with consistency and the lack of clout from a weak federation, but I enjoy watching them. I would like to see them have good results.

    Great programs that were overshadowed

The only thing that annoyed me about Kristi was her tiny jumps. Her skating was very strong in every other department, not super innovative or spectacular, but objectively very strong in every other department, and super consistent, but those teeny jumps. Michele didn't exactly have big jumps...

The Dance Hall 7: Tripping the Light Fantastic 2019-2020

Yeah 2023 would be the latest they go in that case then, and even then only if worlds goes to Montreal for that year. In which case Lajoie & Lagha will probably roll once they are gone. And might even challenge/overtake Piper & Gilles before they leave.

The Dance Hall 7: Tripping the Light Fantastic 2019-2020

I think Hawayek & Baker would want to stay around and try for U.S #1 for awhile if they are still U.S #3 and make it to 2022. If they aren't then maybe not.

The Dance Hall 7: Tripping the Light Fantastic 2019-2020

Do you think Gilles & Poirier are continuing past 2022? I don't think they will, but if they do there is a good chance they are atleast close with L&L, atleast early in the quad. They are far above them now, and there is a good shot they are still Canadian #1 over them in 2022.

And it still cost them some in the marks. Miskutienok & Dmitriev and Brasseur & Eisler got 1st place rankings in the short too which given the pre Olympic hype on G&G as the overwhelming favorites after their dominant season, probably does not happen had they performed the spins solidly.

Gymnastic news #22 - Tokyo or bust

I think for Maggie to have made the 2016 Oly team the only way she was going to do it was to knock off Aly Raisman, who people seem to be thinking was the 2nd biggest lock after Biles, which she probably was by the time of the Games. However I see people mentioning Douglas, Hernandez, Kocian...
