I think it's good that Malinin has real competition. It's far too easy for skaters to get complacent and to think they deserve scores they don't necessarily earn.

Weird error on the transition there for Ilia. He's handling it well though. My gosh, he's SOOO solid on his jumps ... he's truly AMAZING!!! Looks like he's still going to stay ahead of Adam on tech points, regardless of the tumble.

His jump GOE is so astonishing that the fall might not even matter for the lead, though I do sort of expect him to finish behind Adam in the SP.
