I will not be here for the men's tonight, and honestly, I don't know if I have the mental fortitude for it. This was fun, y'all. God, I miss snarky, chaotic events. Love these Worlds so far. Obvious winners. Obvious scandals. Conspiracy theories. Happy-clappy audiences. Drunk FSUers. Drunk judges! Snarky, petty ice dancers. It's like a redoux of 6.0. What I wouldn't give for an old-fashioned Lifetime press conference with the top five right now.

I've never seen such movement in ice dance. I can't say I agree with everything. But seeing the Brits on the podium leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Reminds me of Fusar-Poli/Margaglio in 2001 winning over Anissina/Peizerat. The quality of skating just isn't there. But of course, consistency counts and they definitely have it. The Italians really need to get their act together and present two good programmes next year. It's clear after tonight that the RD makes a huge difference.

Important question: Who choreographed Smart/Dieck's programme? Was it Marie-France?

I've always wondered if Smart has a say in the programmes she skates. Her Zorro programme with Diaz was amazing too.

Maybe Pasha and her aunt will make surprise appearances?

Peacock just turned over to people riding dirt bikes on a muddy course. Pretty dramatic change.

The movement today was very crazy. Wish it had resulted in more movement in the overall standings, especially with the top 4. I have a feeling that next season is going to be realllllly interesting at Euros. Both FearGib and GuigFab need to take note of the FD loss to SmaDie and come up with much better material next year otherwise, they may both be looking up at Sheffield hometown girl Olivia on the Euros podium - and that's presuming FBCiz aren't in there for a podium spot too.

Charlene just told Marco she’s not waiting to congratulate Fear/Gibson and angrily marched out. 😱
I marched out of the event 15 minutes later using Charlene as my inspiration. Ready to leave this season of dance in the dumpster.

I didn’t watch, but:
1) great to see so much movement
2) happy for Fear and Gibson 🇬🇧
3) gutted for Guignard and Fabbri, but they needed to ditch this program long ago. Of all fhe top teams, their hardware to talent ratio is the lowest :(
4) I also have three citizenships so was rooting for 🇺🇸 🇮🇹 🇬🇧 in any order. Too bad Gilles and Poirier didn’t get the B&K memorial FORTH FORTH FORTH place medal 🤣
5) Kudos to Karen W for predicting Carreira and Ponomarenko would overtake L&L. Finding this hard to believe but will keep an open mind when I watch
6) I’ve somehow missed Smart and Dieck all season; looking forward to seeing it on replay.

They're up for best choreo and it's Haguenauer that is nominated for it. MFD must have done the rd.

I'll bring the flamethrower. But no marshmallows, I have a feeling it'll give off toxic fumes. And I don't want to hear "tango, not tango", it's just shit design. (IMO of course but I did go to art school...)
See, we can find lots of things upon which we agree! I've wanted that jacket burned since we first got a look at it at SCI. I posted a whole costume tirade about it on X and why, from my seamstress' eye, it was wrong on just about every level. Nothing has changed, though I'm just now numb to the atrocity and have accepted that there's no saving GilPoir from themselves when it comes to poor costume choices. I'd gladly contribute to a costume fund for them if I knew it would get them to Mathieu Caron.

I am living my best life these Worlds. I don't know that I really believed CarPon would overtake LajLag, but I certainly believed they'd be no lower than 6th and am absolutely delighted with this result.
