Yes, it’s in the Wasatch Mountain area. 4000+ feet.

The Dance Hall 13: When You Dance on the Ice and Your Feet Twizzle Twice, That's Amore

Personally I feel the Mrazeks' programs this year highlighted their weaknesses rather than their strengths. They are so powerful, so you'd think an AC/DC program would totally work for them. But the end result looked wild and almost out of control at times. And to me, Malaguena requires a level...

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

An interesting article on the larger cultural/LGBTQ significance of Amber skating to "Like a Prayer" in Milano: https://www.outsports.com/2026/2/17/24128651/amber-glenn-madonna-like-prayer-milan-winter-olympics-italy-vatican-church/

2025-26 Pairs General Discussion: Who Wants to Lift Forever?

Did Miura/Kihara and Conti/Macii actually say they are skipping Worlds and/or retiring? I missed that. P.S. In post-Oly free skate remarks that I read, Hase/Volodin also didn't commit to another 4 years, instead giving the standard "We'll talk about it" response.

    Johnny & Tara

Surprised I’m saying this, but I actually think Johnny & Tara have been doing a fairly decent job this Olympics? Yeah they’ve had a few mess-ups, such as Johnny not knowing that DS/D were dropping the back flip, and I could do without Tara’s OTT fangirling of Danny O’Shea, but in general I think...

    All things Costumes, 2025-26 season

I thought both of Deanna's custom designer dresses were fabulous. Deanna has this way of making everything she does look like a million bucks ... and the dresses go right along with that aesthetic! :)

U.S. Women [#8]: Meet Me in St. Louis

I just sent this to my teenage daughters. They are not really figure skating fans (yet). But they have announced their intention to watch the women's event. Because they think Amber and Alysa are cool. (They like Isabeau, too.) Is USFS finally reaching the youth?

2025-26 US Pairs Discussion - Milano-Bound By Way of Beijing & St. Louis

Notable from Chan/Howe's mixed zone: Howe: "There are so many great teams in the U.S. that have surfaced over these last few years. We hope to continue to be part of that group." https://x.com/goldenskate/status/2023517907376889884

U.S. Men 2025-26 Discussion - Quad God and the Mere Mortals

The quad loop was the last quad that Ilia landed in competition, and the one he has done the least overall, so yes I think it’s the hardest for him. He still often does a big smile or fist pump when he lands it. And I’d be surprised if he wasn’t planning to do quad Axel because he was...

U.S. Men 2025-26 Discussion - Quad God and the Mere Mortals

Yes. In the past year, Ilia had frequently mentioned in interviews his "perfect layout" of 7 quads and, ideally, wanting to do that at the Olympics.

U.S. Men 2025-26 Discussion - Quad God and the Mere Mortals

Relatedly, if the ISU goes through with some version of the radical format changes they’re proposing, Ilia will also likely never again have the opportunity to present a 7-quad long program at the Olympics, even if he’s physically still in a good spot in 2030.

Music rights clearance issues (policy being implemented by the ISU starting in 2024)

This is the last thing Amber needs right now. :scream: :angryfire

U.S. Men 2025-26 Discussion - Quad God and the Mere Mortals

It's a bit sad, but I'm really glad Tomoki is ending on a good note. He truly sounds content with where he's at and what he accomplished this year. He upped his performance level and made a legitimate run at the Olympic team. In the end it didn't quite happen, but all you can do is try your...
