Honestly speaks volumes that James Hernandez, who wasn't even on the Grand Prix circuit, is up there in the voting. :swoon:

I think we need an upstart victor this year.
Well, anyone beating out a Frenchman would be an upset...

4 Frenchmen
3 Canadians & 3 Americans
2 Italians, 2 Chinese, & 2 Russians
1 Japanese, 1 Lithuanian, 1 Brit, 1 German, & 1 Spaniard
* 1 Bulgarian who I thought the title was supposed to be vacated or replaced by the runner-up because of his murder conviction (runner-up that year was Anton Sikharulidze - https://www.fsuniverse.net/forum/threads/in-the-official-psoty-2003-4.8165/post-153728)

What's more, ice dancers are a dime a dozen when it comes to this award...

13 ice dancers
5 men's singles skaters
3 pairs skaters

Therefore, I humbly submit that everyone who has correctly cast a vote for one of the 5 pairs men on this list should consider throwing their support behind the pairs man who currently has the most votes and stands the best chance of beating out yet another, boring French ice dancer.

And, in case you aren't looking at the current vote totals, here's a video reminder of just how Porny SPENCER AKIRA HOWE is...

No, an upset would be a skater who is more likely to be only seen at a "B" event than the most prestigious ISU competitions season after season pulling off the win, most of whom have won toward the peak of their career and much more widely well known.

This campaign for a French Ice Dancer for PSOTY has got to be one of the most unoriginal endeavors I've ever encountered on FSU. Especially since Brissaud really does not hold a candle to the previous Frenchmen who have won this prestigious award. I expected better taste from you, ANL.

Brissaud's instagram is impressive, and he seems like a good person. He gets my vote.

Whatever's happening with Howe's facial hair should be immediate grounds for disqualification.

Having the "opportunity" to vote for Gibson and Pulkinen here is akin to having the opportunity to vote for Jill Stein or RFK Jr. in the USA elections.
