Ditto for Gilles/Poirier FD

I don't like Bobrova/soloviev's FD costumes at all...this is weird but there is something low rent looking about them. I don't know what it is

I love Papadakis/Cizeron FD costumes., particularly the color and Gaby's skirt

Oh and I love Anna/Luca's FD costumes but not the red dress, I think the white dress goes better with the program

Yes, my vote goes to the white dress, too. I think Anna actually went through 3 dresses for this program--first, a bright white dress, then the red, then a cream dress at Worlds. My preference was for the original white dress. There was something about the pureness of the look that really worked for the program and kind of emphasized the innocent
happiness they feel at the beginning of the story, before the world intrudes, so to speak.

I like your picks for good costumes except Piper Gilles' The dress as such is fine but that green colour does not suit her. It does not go with her hair and skin tone.

I agree the white one suited the program best, but unfortunately, white sometimes blends into the ice, so I chose the red. The white one reminded me of a beautiful old-fashioned wedding gown; if only ice was not so white!

I think Guillaume looks best in the black tank top from the short dance - simple, sexy, and stylish :D

I would've loved to see it on Madison Chock.

SD: Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin - Alexandra’s dress is fabulous! Ivan’s outfit is genius, (the cut and design) and together they're sensational! They clean up very well and should always be able to capitalize on the good-looking team PCS haul. ;)

FD: Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev – classy, clean lines and lovely, flattering colors. They’ve never been shy about going the Full Monty with their fashion. Whether or not they choose soft and dreamy or bold and brash, they leave it all on the ice. Love this wonderful couple!

Honorable mention: SD - Ekaterina Bobrova and Dmitri Soloviev, once again. Bold and daring for Katia... She’s not holding back. Love! Dmitri does it right and knocks ‘em dead in a can’t go wrong, less is more, solid black outfit. He looks like a million bucks!

Honorable mention: FD - Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte - it worked for them, they looked great, but then again, they usually do.

Not mentioned on the list, but deserving of an honorable mention, imho, are the Shibs for being entirely pulled together, polished and always looking sensational, amazing and beautiful. They wear the costumes, the costumes do not wear them.

Also, Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron who would typically make my list, but honestly, I’m still dealing with the whole Olympic wardrobe malfunction saga… fiasco… saga… ugh! :drama: :gallopin1 :p

I think we agree on fashion a lot :)
OMG I loved the Shibs' costumes! I feel like they're the only ice dance couple who has never had an epic #fail costume. Even their Latin SD costumes from 2012 were beautiful.
As I mentioned earlier in this thread, we all need more of Guillaume in a tank top. Who cares about Gabriella's fringed thing :D

My fave ice dance dress this year wasn’t even a competition number lol: Tessa’s royal blue practice dress cut in the same pattern as her FD costume. She looked incredible in it.

But Piper’s Bond Girl dress at the Olympics was definitely my fave competition costume of the year: a fashion blog I follow recapped the event and said she wouldn’t have looked out of place in Vanity Fair in it and I agree. The hair and makeup were perfect too <3

If I were Piper I would see if I could get a dressmaker to make a gown with the same fabric and style for other occasions so she can wear it again! Also, both of Tessa's Olympic free dance dresses were drop dead gorgeous.

In no particular order:

SD
Madison Chock's Olympic dress. I was all in on the toucan look.
Kaitlyn Weaver's Olympic outfit. Mainly for the top. It was very different than the other SD looks we saw this season and felt almost ready to wear vs. a costume.
Alex Shibutani's original nude top.
Anna Cappellini's curly hem dress from the beginning of the season. The purple halter dress she wore later on was OK, but I much preferred this one.

FD
I freaked out when I saw Piper's new dress. It's absolutely gorgeous.
The sheer skirt and long sleeves made a really nice silhouette on Gabby. Although, there was a point where her wedgie got a bit extreme...having nothing to really cover it in situations like that is risky.
I'm red all the way for Anna's FD dress. The white was very pretty in an almost wedding-ish way, but it blended into the ice too much. The details on the dress got totally washed out. Plus, I think the red complimented Luca's cream top better.

Oh yes.. their SD costumes were stunning!!!!!! And I also didnt mind Alex's original shirt... I preferred it more to the darker one they brought out..

HOWEVER.... those Free Dance costumes... wake me from the coma. Im not a fan of over the top but Im not a fan of simple with no design either. Simple can be good if there is on thing about it that is impactful. I thought those Free Dance costumes were some of the worst all time.. I was in shock about how uninspired they were...

Back to those SD costumes.... STUNNING.

Agree, the short dance ones were great but the free dance ones lacked that special something to be remembered.

@Fizz @quartz Tessa's Moulin Rouge dress (both practice version and competition version) was stunning too! It barely missed my top 5 here (maybe I should've done top 10 for all the pretty costumes we got this year!). Piper's Bond girl dress surprised me by being the one yellow dress I didn't abhor this season! So classy!

@NinjaTurtles Kaitlyn's top was fabulous! It was just so different than anything anyone else was wearing this season and I liked it.
