United Airlines Flight 232, flight that crash-landed in Sioux City, Iowa, in 1989.

35 years ago , United Airline Flight 232 crashed landed in Soiux City, Iowa.

Apparently there was enough time to notify hospitals of potential mass causality.

I was working that day and remember being told that patients may have to be life flighted or ground transport to hospitals as far away as 100 miles. We watched in horror as the crash was replayed.

I heard Captain Hayes speak of the crash several years later.

Wow, I do not remember this but thankfully many survived. I think it would be hard to go back onto a plane after such an experience.
