At then end of their SP, one of the skaters from the Austrian team just molested the judges, (I really like this team.

The Baby Italians opened with a lovely, extended spiral sequence and had interesting choreography, really covering the ice, changing it up a lot.

Japanese team with hair bling in the shape of crowns (except for the guy).

The commentator seemed happily surprised that fans came from Japan,

British team still leads.

After resurfacing, there was a quantum jump in propulsion from Teqm Spirit, the first of two Swedish teams. They way they melted from formation to formation was :swoon: even with a biff in the twizzle pattern.

Great home country crowd.

Czech team not helped at all by the comparison to the Swedes, and they started with two red blobs of five. They had two skaters next to each other who had very different timing. They look more like singles skaters who’ve yet to gel as a synchro team.

Canada’s Team Nova Jr. is in first, even with a fall, and they had a nice lower line of four doing shoot the duck into their classic spirals, but the choreography looked random to me, with lots of space between the two groups that had little overall picture. Great timing on the intersection to the music was the highlight.

Second Swedish team rocked. I loved their spacing, whether tight in or spread out. They seems to be flying. Their spiral pattern was lovely. They really moved and had varied patterns and changes of direction.

I'll be tuning in for the final group after the ice resurfacing.

Fabulous performance from US Teams Elite Jr. I loved how they morphed from couples to the set up in two curves going into the intersection. The choreography really moved them around, and their movement and transitions were clear.

Compared to what went before, the top Italian team, skating to Fix You, was plodding, and they weren’t clean enough, especially in spacing, to pull it off well. I drifted away while watching this.

Shame about the fall for Team Fintastic. Really interesting shapes & transitions in their program.

Finnish team Fintastic started out well, and their TES looks strong, but it lost it a bit. There was one fall and it took awhile for the skater to get back into formation, and the lost precision towards the end. Still clearly accomplished.

I liked the choreography of the no hold from the second US team, but overall I liked the choreography of Fintastic better. I felt the US team spent too much time skating far apart from each other in the rink, which I don’t think is that effective in person, either.

Les Supremes have taken Korean hair being to the next level - rhinestone/crystal SPIDERS!

ETA - Romane Telemaque & Inga Gurgenidze could never, lol.

Les Supremes Jr. show why they’re defending the title, but there were a few skaters here and there who seemed off, which show up the better the rest of the group is.

Team Elite Jr. spent a lot of time in small groups doing different things. I still like the red Finns better.

Gah, and if two Pairs skaters can’t stay in synch for spins, who thought it was a good idea for 16 skaters to?

Oh, I loved the blue-purple US team’s program: the patterns were fabulous, and there was much less couples in unison in this.

I have to go back to watch the earlier teams. The Swiss team was my earlier group favorite in the SP.
