Such a beautiful piece! I admire Karina so much. She is really a trailblazer in so many ways and I hope her "running away with the circus" adventure is everything she wished for.

In the essay, I discuss my past struggles with body-image. I tried my best to write about these issues with a sense awareness, avoiding rhetoric that might harm people in recovery, but still: if you’re recovering from an eating disorder, or if you feel like you’re not in a place to read about that kind of stuff, please save my piece for later! (And, if you are someone struggling with those things, I am rooting for you to fall completely in love with yourself someday!)
