I rewatched the women's vault competition and they keep zooming into the athlete's feet before they run toward the vault. I thought it was a shot of their nail polish, but maybe it was to appease the people who buy feet pics?

Are they naked? Can they be clothed? I’m unemployed atm…would happily do this!
no they are out in public, usually a department store. he sits there while she tries on shoes that he buys. then she walks him out and calls him names.

register with a number of market research companies. you get paid to give your opinion (!!) and it pays relatively well.
Is that true? I get asked on line about surveys, and I always thought it was a scam. So I never registered.

What kind of market research pays well? I may consider this.

Sometime back I was considering Data entry jobs, but a friend said that these days companies collect data online, so they don't really need to hire people for data entry.

I was registered with a few marketing survey firms for about a year. I never even got enough points for an Amazon gift card. Being in the 55-64yr range wasn’t at all lucrative.

Hello! I sort of disappeared with the start of school and other disasters, but wanted to pop in and give a thank you and update. I am still an Sbux employee, though not at the same store. I guess even though I mostly kept to myself at work as I'm older than the average employee, being with the company as long as I have, I have a certain reputation, and the manager at another Sbux--one close to my school, offered me a position. I started there two weeks' ago, and so far it's going well. While I loved my other store and the people there, this one is so much more convenient--it's less than two miles from my school, I don't have to fight interstate traffic to get to an afternoon shift and even though on a map, it's further from my house, it's all interstate, so it's just as quick to get home in the evening.

Thanks for all the advice, and I'm so relieved I didn't need any of it. Although after going through this, I've decided that I'm probably only going to work another year, and I'll figure it out.

Most of you know I am a teacher but because I require a lifestyle that involves much glitter and red wine, I have a second job at Starbucks. Despite working at Sbux for seven years without a single write up, no-call no show, disciplinary action, or complaint--do you have ANY idea how hard that is in retail--I am being let go because my availability "no longer works for them." In reality, there are three of us on the chopping block, and it's because of our seniority. I mean, I'm going to fight it, but I don't think I'll be successful. 🤷‍♀️ They want everyone to work 25 hours except the store manager, which means the SSVs (shift supervisors) who work 30+ will have their hours cut and those who are truly part time, under 20 hours, have to up theirs. This in the long term is not going to work--25 hours is too little for full time, but too much to have another part time job, and too much for part time/school, but hey, nothing I can do about that as of August 12th. Not my coffee, not my creamer. No use crying over charred coffee beans.

Now to the first point, I need a supplement. I'd like to find something that clears about $300-400/month. Since I am a teacher, my schedule is limited to after 4pm and week-ends. My car is not up to the standards of Uber/Lyft, and it makes no sense to get a new car to get a job just to pay the car note, esp as my car is fine, it's just old. I'm looking at work-from-home jobs and it's just really hard to tell which are scams, scam-adjacent (MLM), and just cleverly-disguised cold-call/sales. It doesn't have to be something that is all that interesting, it can be downright boring and senseless, but something I can sit down in front of my computer 15-20 hours a week at my leisure, which might be at 5pm on Tuesday or 3am on Saturday or during lunch or my planning period. A Costco is opening near my school and I think that might be fun, but I missed the big hiring wave, cause I didn't know I would need to be hired. I'm going to apply at all the coffee shops around here as well. My manager did tell me she'd be happy to give a reference--a glowing one, so that's good.

I can be somewhat picky as I now do make jussst enough from my real job teaching to pay all my major bills (rent/food/utilities), but there's nothing else. We get paid once a month, which is hard to budget. I like the security of knowing money is coming in from somewhere every two weeks.

So...suggestions? And yes, I've looked on indeed, glass ceiling, open door, LinkedIn, but the amount of scams are just  :yikes: It's hard to tell to whether something is legitimate but badly written or a bot who wants my PayPal info.

You haven't said what hobbies or interests you have that can be turned into a business, so I'll list what other friends are doing for quick cash.

Given that you're teacher, could you do tutoring?

I make that amount from my Etsy site, when I factor in the tax deductions on rent and utilities, wifi, and other business expenses, but it took time to develop the site and the customers.

My friend does small home repairs and yard maintenance for a number of people around town.

House cleaning and janitorial services can be done nights and weekends, when people are home.

The FlexJobs website has many listings if jobs of all kinds. It is a trusted site. The only negative is you have to pay for it.
