He wasn't nearly as well known on this side of the pond, but I have extremely fond memories of him from my time in the UK, both his solo work and of course as one half of The Two Ronnies.

He wrote his own epitaph over 40 years ago: "And it's goodnight from him."

He was very well known in Australia through The Two Ronnies. Very funny man. The media have been paying lovely tributes to him here and showing many hilarious clips.

RIP Ronnie Corbett, I can't believe that this news completely passed me by yesterday.

I used to love the two Ronnies. It was one of the first comedy programmes I remember watching as a kid.

Sad day. The Two Ronnie's were a staple during my younger days. The 'fork 'andles' sketch is still funny now. Ronnie Barker said it was Ronnie Corbett's reactions through the entire sketch that made it as all Baker did was stand there and deliver the lines. Brilliant.

RIP Ronnie Corbett you will be missed.

Loved the two Ronnies - we were lucky to be able to see them here in Canada too. Thanks for all the joy and RIP
