PavSvia - rough landing on the last 2a of their 3t+2a+2a seq for her. And he barely hangs on for the landing of his 3s. They're giving away valuable GOE here and don't have the benefit of RFSF backing, so it will be interesting to see if they drop behind either of the first two teams overall. Oh, hell, today's gonna be scary lift day, I see. Their TES is higher than GhiAmbr, which makes sense given what they attempted, but I was bored. Music is awful.

Even before the near lift disaster I was thinking this is a solid short program team, and not a free skate team. Not as sharp today as yesterday for the hungry-Russians.

Pretty good skate compared to their Grand Prix events. This program still doesn't do anything for me, and I really want to see something new from this team other than the standard Italian pairs/ice dance program.

Nervy, but better than their GP appearances. Good for them, but good grief it feels like they had this Cinema Paradiso for 50000000 seasons.

SDDes - so, we go from one extreme to the other with vampire storytelling today... GhiAmbr could have been skating to anything while SDDes (mostly her) over-emote to the point of annoyance.

Errors on both of their SBS jumping passes. Looks like ConMac have upgraded from bronze last year to at least silver... yup, hand down on the throw 3s will seal it. If these two can't figure out how to control their nerves, I expect Montreal to be a disaster.

THIS is an obvious vampire program. And it's not just the sparkly blood and the voiceovers, Deanna will clearly cut a bitch if she feels like she has to.

Otherwise, kind of a mess. My optimistic side (I do have one, a little one!) is glad that they're not peaking early.
