Nice skate. The choreography was fine, but nothing that really stood out.

I think that was a lovely program, but I like the non-vocal parts of Exogenesis.

Well at least Chen/Xing are using less commonly heard parts of Phantom, so extra points for that. Her dress is....very pastel and frilly, and fussy.

I think I prefered the first Chinese team. I wasn't engaged by this performance.

And can the ISU please ban grabbing the boards, particularly near the judges. I didn't watch any comps prior to the GP and I'm already over it.

Oh, Mark says it's 'Phantom of the Opera On Ice'. I didn't realise that existed.

I didn't know there was a specific musical version of Phantom done for ice skating. Chen/Xing certainly attacked this program, and gave a credible performance. Hopefully this team gets to compete more internationally over the next few years to develop their skating.

Russians from the 90s loved that schlock, lol. I seemed to have forgotten it existed but then I just reopened that brain injury.

I don't like Clair de Lune enough for this program to work for me.

ETA but the entry into their final lift being on the music was very cool.

Clair de Lune is nice (popular but not used quite so enedlessly...). I like the right hand side of Demougeot's dress. No idea who thought the left side was a good idea.

More posnig for the judges, but at least they didn't touch the boards.

Good job on the stationary + rotational lift. Well done, French team.

That was a very enjoyable, and interesting performance. This is a team that finds unusual movement to interpret the music, and I always look forward to see what they are going to do next.
