Broussard's skating is quite elegant.

That wasn't terrible considering the boot issues, but I'm sure he would have wanted better.

(BTW - I haven't seen the Men's Short so I have no idea how any of these skaters ended up in their current positions).

Per Mark Hanretty, Lucas' left skate boot blew up during practice yesterday, and so he was breaking in new boots during this competition. Wisely choosing to downgrade the technical content today. Write this event off, and start fresh when you get home Lucas.

He's happy, so that's something. I think this program is good example of why the Pearl Harbour soundtrack (awful movie ) has not been used more, because it lacks energy and structure, and it's just supposed to be background music as Josh Harnett does heroic things.

Lee needs to work on the things that aren't jumps. I kind of wandered off towards the end of that.

I'm so over the hands over head position. It's not helping the skaters achieve the height necessary to rotate the jump, and if the takeoff is slightly off the skater doesn't have their arms available to help hold the landings. (Edited to add - as an example of how Lee is getting help from the arms over head see the four rotation calls in this free skate.)
