One can learn from his past mistakes only if he manages to realise his contribution to those problems. If he understands he made some mistakes, the chance is that he may be careful not to do them again. However, the question is whether he does have the insight. If he believes that it was only Iliuschetchkina and Antipova’s problem, then it is unlikely he would change his behaviour and there would be no learning from past mistakes. We will have to see.I would think after having weight problems with two partners, you would learn your lesson (Antipova almost died for heaven’s sake) but then again, the old dog might not learn new tricks. We will see. I’m not sure what he is like professionally, but Rogonov has always seemed like a very nice guy. As for young student dating older coach, I’m not a fan of it but it’s happened many times before...sometimes it can work out okay, but rarely.
