ABC News’ Linsey Davis spoke to American figure skater Starr Andrews about making history as the first Black woman to medal [4th place pewter] at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 35 years.

One of Starr's IG stories earlier today showed her landing a 3F and was captioned "Last practice before Heading to Luxembourg" - she competes in her final competition of the season on March 18-19 at Coupe du Printemps (still awaiting livestream info).

Starr debuted her "Alien Superstar" SP last night at Kings Cup International - ETA on Sunday that that a YT copy made from the livestream is posted in the U.S. Women's news thread in GSD - I've added Starr's own video link in my post below.

Her FS music is "Being Good Isn't Good Enough" and she skated to this song at the Peggy Fleming Trophy in July 2021 (she used the Lea Michele/Glee cover there) and her coach Derrick Delmore choreographed, AFAIK.

Another thing Andrews promised is to bring the glam. Her free skate is set to music from the TV show “Euphoria,” and her makeup reflects glittery looks from the show. She’s been working with Black Radiance Beauty.
“I love their makeup so much,” she said. “I don’t really wear foundation because I don’t like the way it feels when I skate and I sweat. They have a powder foundation and it’s not super-heavy. I really like it. They have a beautiful palette called Starstruck that’s all shimmer eye shadows.”
