Oddly enough the group of skaters who have their eyes focused on Malinin are the Russian men. He has pushed men's skating and they are the group that is looking to get there. Some of the rest of the men seem to give up when he skates rather than say, I want to do that. To me, he'd be my reason.

Well, Adam gave us a little bit of everything. A wonderful program, not-perfect jumps (despite what Chris says!), an amazing circular bent-over back slide move. He's clearly not back to anywhere near his best form but good for him for doing as well as he did.

It’s very French that the most exciting moment of the program was spinning on his knees. Shades of Candeloro

There is no comparison, back to back, element by element. Kagiyama is just an absolute dream and the quality of his basics is a 10.00 if I’ve ever seen one.

He won’t catch Malinin on because of TES strength, but he is THE BEST.
