I just hope Ottawa will get a chance to hold the event sooner rather than later(maybe in the next couple of years). I was looking forward to having Skate Canada in my city again.
It just takes one idiot to ruin it for everyone else.Tell that to the 69 people in Hamilton who are positive because of a spin class.
As of the moment, CV19 is smarter than we are. With any luck and a lot of science, it won't stay that way.
We are allowed to go to cottages but need to stock up b4 leaving as we should not go to the local's stores and bring it there.Montreal is currently a red zone and patrols who is leaving. All in all, not a great way to start a competition
It's a virtual audienceHow is Battle of the Blades allowed to proceed with the indoor gathering limit in place?
But aren’t there more than 10 people in the building with the contestants and production? There wasn’t going to be an audience for Skate Canada either. It's a virtual audience
I assume it’s considered a TV program rather than a sporting event. But aren’t there more than 10 people in the building with the contestants and production? There wasn’t going to be an audience for Skate Canada either.
They obviously have had to get permission from the relevant public health authorities to go ahead with this - it is being broadcast on nationwide TV so it's hardly being kept "quiet".But aren’t there more than 10 people in the building with the contestants and production? Yes it falls under television production. There are very strict protocols for the filming industry in Toronto but they are allowed to work.I assume it’s considered a TV program rather than a sporting event.

No need to guess - announced today as Vancouver at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre from October 29 – 31, 2021: https://skatecanada.ca/2020/10/vancouver-to-host-2021-skate-canada-international/Any guesses where Skate Canada will be in 2021? I’m pretty sure older people will be able to get a vaccine by then.
