Lol I love how nobody sees the same thing. TBH it may be a case of the one-eyed leading the blind, as in, most of the others did so much worse it makes her look good.

These PCS are nutty. Thorngren's composition mark should probably be highest in the competition, Mihara's overall PCS probably should be highest.

And Schild should 100% be the lowest.

So, just 20 minutes before the Pairs. Time to make a sandwich and see what Amazon dropped off during this event (their 2nd .. and last .. delivery of the day!). Every time they ring the doorbell, both cats dash for the closet. Poor things .... hate to tell them that it's only going to get worse for them when I REALLY get into Christmas shopping!!

Rino’s, she needs a bolder color.

Yoshida - yay, thrilled she's in first. Would have liked to see her score a smidge higher.

Gutmann - thrilled for her. Still think traditional jump technique would work better for her but happy she's in medal contention.

Everhardt - not my cup of tea. I'm less excited about her jumps than everyone else. She's sluggish getting into her rotation which is also not very snappy and I often find her jumps somewhat "q"-y although they'll never get called since she's been deemed a "jumper."

Matsuike - wtf girl. stop effing up your short programs. hoping she can still win this whole thing. so glad she did the 3+3 in the second half.

Yun - pleasant surprise jump wise.

Mihara - meh bleh feh.

Schild - the 3T in the combo was SO OBVIOUSLY UNDER - I don't know how they called it clean. WEIRD tech panel. and her skating is unwatchable. good raw talent but her jump technique, skating skills and packaging need a major overhaul.

Thorngren - welp.

I think this was the results the tech called wanted and not necessarily reflective of what was on the ice.

Yoshida deserved the lead in a pretty mild field... Compared to the rest of the field her PCS were a tad low, imo.

Gutmann: I LOVE this program, but not her jumps. She and Grassl have the same horrifying throw your body in the air and hope for the best style that is slightly terrifying every time they leave the ice.

Everhardt: Good for her. Hopefully she can learn some performance technique. One has to wonder with Levito gone MIA, if she's already feeling the pressure for nationals? She seemed extremely nervous here, but at least she finally SMILED when the program was over.

Matsuike: Stupid flip!!! She's still in good position to win this despite that fall, which tells me the caller and judges could only help her so much. HELP YOURSELF, RINO! BELIEVE!!!

Yun: A Korean lady stepping up to the plate is what is needed, and she did well to deliver. If she hadn't skated first there would be a good argument for her to be perhaps a spot or two higher.

Mihara:

Schild: I really, REALLY don't get the PCS. She's fast but... everything else....? Non.

Thorngren: Her skating is sublime if you just ignore the jumps. Best spins of the event.

Watching replay now I thought Rino was a great skater and I enjoyed her despite the music. PCS should be a few points above Sarah and not just 1 point
