Is the Wichita Ice Center going to be the practice rink and any word if it will be open to spectators?

Here’s hoping that the Wichita Ice Center, like the public Sharks Ice facility in San Jose did in 2023, will let any interested spectators in to watch official practices.

USFS’ press release today re. their Hall of Fame Class of 2025 elected members:
Two-time Olympian Albertina "Tina" Noyes, renowned ice dancer and choreographer Renée Roca and visionary judge Robert Horen have been elected to the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame Class of 2025. Atoy Wilson, the first African American to win a U.S. title, will be inducted into the Hall in its inaugural Trailblazers category. An induction ceremony and reception will be held Jan. 25 at the 2025 Prevagen U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Wichita, Kansas.

Ticket info for the Saturday, January 25 reception: https://fs12.formsite.com/USFSAIT/ym5eutyrcz/index

Has anyone looked into the parking situation at Intrust Arena? I have enough points for a free rental car so I was researching the parking, and when I click on the arena lots they’re showing as sold out for Nats. Doesn’t seem right considering what we’ve heard about ticket sales. The prices for some of the other nearby lots look abnormally expensive also.

My son who lives in Wichita says for an event like that, the $70/day surrounding lots is probably a going rate. That does seem high, especially for the one he showed me was 0.8 miles away.

That's insane. I booked a hotel far enough away where I think I'll need a car so I got a car. (I'm at the Home2Suites.)

Keep in mind your first few days are business days you can park in the same lot that they use for people working in the area and those people are not paying $70 a day

If you go on the website for the arena, you can reserve parking. Yes the places right next to the arena are charging $70 to reserve but if you go half a block away, it was $12 for the first day for example. So finding affordable parking just means you have to walk a block or two. I would definitely look at those spots before I paid the rip off artist $70 for parking in that area when you see your other options.

I just started moving my tickets to Apple Wallet - is moving one by one the only way to do this?

Also I bought "seat 10 for senior men SP" and "seat 1 for senior FD" each, but now that these tickets seem to be re-combined as "men SP + FD 1st and 2nd group" and "men SP and FD final groups," the select-a-seat website shows "seat 1" for "men SP and FD 1st and 2nd groups." What happened to my seat 10!?

I hope such a change will not cause confusions or double-bookings. (It also does not make sense that listing men SP twice).

I think they're splitting the Men's SP as well as the FD. Do you mean you have only one ticket showing the combination? I bought an all-event ticket, and I have two tickets combining MSP and FD.

The colored time schedule shows that only the FD is split - groups 1 & 2 compete, then the Men's SP in its entirety, followed by the last group of the FD. Which is so insanely stupid. It would make more sense (if they wanted to split) to do the first FD group, then the Men's SP followed by the last two FD groups). I'm guessing it has something to do with the rest of NBC's scheduling that day that is forcing this weird scheduling.

Putting the last FD group separate is going to wildly disadvantage whoever ends up 6th. There could be a chance that 3rd - 6th are close, maybe not a huge chance, but a chance and then the split could really hurt someone.
Maybe? I think there's a pretty wide gap between the 3-5 teams and the 6-8 teams.

GP High Score goes like this:
GreenP 189.86
ZingKol 189.48
BraSom 185.88

PateBye 180.35
NesMark 179.38
Browns 179.14

I feel like both GreenP and ZingKol are pretty safely in the final FD group, even if they have a mistake in the RD. BraSom don't have the same cushion, but even still... If they make a mistake in the RD, they'll effectively take themselves out of the 3rd Worlds spot conversation anyways and it won't matter whether they're in the final FD group.

All event tickets are fine. It is individual tickets that have problems.
If you bought the individual tickets, you might want to double check them.

-I bought individual senior men SP (section 117) and senior FD (118) tickets.
Now I have senior men SP + 1st & 2nd FD (118) and senior men SP & final FD groups (117). What will happen to other seat!? Should I move in the middle of the men's SP?

-Even more problematic, I bought for my friend senior men SP (117) and FS (117). I forwarded them to my friend and she saved them in her Apple wallet. Now they are gone from her wallet! And I cannot forward them again since on my screen it says they already have been forwarded. ETA she found them!

Select-a-Seat website does not list a contact number, so I guess I need to call/talk to the venue😓 .

Might be. Unless someone has a mistake or things don't go as expected, or any number of things. As I said, there isn't a huge chance, but I also think it's not impossible.

Another thing that is not clear is: what if one person bought an individual ticket of men SP for the seat (e.g. section 1 -row 2 - seat 3) and another person bought the exact same seat for FD before the schedule combined men SP and the half of FD groups?

Doesn't this cause double-booking for the same seat?
