Artistic Swimming Duets begin today at 1:30pm eastern with Tech routines. This is all after the various Rhythmic Gymnastics events in the morning.

Catching up here and most of these programs are meh but I need to issue a very firm NO! to Team Mexico's '80s mashup. Techno pop covers of '80s hits is just stupid and obnoxious when the originals are so much better and would have been just fine. Also, there really isn't a need to mash up like a half dozen '80s hits. Just one or two would have made for a much better program.

Watched the last few. Really enjoyed the Netherlands Far from Over. Too, the Chinese were quite sweet and elegant.

What’s the deep dark secret about announcing the music of Artistic Swimmers??? Gee whiz, the event begins in about three hours and they haven’t posted the music for the 17 duets’ Artistic routines. In past days, the music choices are revealed about one hour before the event, ROTFL.

Eventually, the music will be revealed on the start-order list. Press the “+” beside each country to find out!

I’m watching with friends, so will comment after the event. China, Austria, and Netherlands are the top 3 after yesterday’s Tech routines. UK on the bubble in 4th. Ukraine 5th. I also like Israel in 8th. USA 11th and Canada 15th.

I hope that this is as much fun as the Rhythmic Gymnastics earlier today!

China wins by a lot - won both AS golds here plus the gold earlier today in Rhythmic Gymnastics! So much beauty - long, lythe, so capable - The Queens of Beauty!

My dad always used to watch artistic swimming and he always said that nobody could compare to the Russians.
I watched some of their performances from past Olympics and I have to say that the old man was damn right.
What they were doing is absolutely insane and amazing. China isn't even close.

So, let's see what happens in the future.
