Shame she couldn’t stand up on the jumps as they did have some nice elementsRough skate, but I'm always happy to see Emy still competing after that awful accident at junior nationals a few years ago.
They were juniors pre-pandemic and then both grew like weeds during COVID lockdown and they aged out of junior eligibility.not bad from Lauren and Ethier, I don’t recall them? Nice lift and twist.
They did the JGP and Junior Worlds in 2019/2020. Glad to see that they're still around!not bad from Lauren and Ethier, I don’t recall them? Nice lift and twist.
Oh that’s likely why then, well I am glad they have finished growing and I enjoyed that. They were juniors pre-pandemic and then both grew like weeds during COVID lockdown and they aged out of junior eligibility.
It's possible they've been monitored, and there's also the Georges Éthier event in September in Quebec they could enter. They could easily be assigned to a later season international. There are several on the Skate Canada assignments page. So, does this no show by Proft/Nadeau take them out of the running for any kind of international events this season? Thoughts?
We might get a better idea when we see who is invited to the High Performance camp later this month (assuming this will take place as usual). It's possible they've been monitored, and there's also the Georges Éthier event in September in Quebec they could enter. I’m curious about their progress. They’ve been skating together a full year now, so one would think they would be ready to at least compete a short program to test things out. Of course the scratch here could be due to injury or illness so who knows. Bummed we didn’t get to see them today in any case. So, does this no show by Proft/Nadeau take them out of the running for any kind of international events this season? Thoughts?
Junior Men SP protocols: https://resultats.patinage.qc.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/DET_42b.pdfVery quick report from Junior men SP flight 1 - Anthony Paradis is now platinum blond.Did 3lutz-2toe, 2A and popped a 3loop into a double. Very bendy and voidy as usual. Pair boy Yohnatan Elizarov made credible attempts at a 3lutz (no combo) and 3loop, and did a big, easy-looking 2A.
