Davis & Andreev engaged

When i first saw Meryl, i immediately thought "she has biblical face".....[/QUOTE]

I don't quite see a women of Middle Eastern appearance in Meryl...... :slinkaway I'm sure she'll be a beautiful bride regardless. ;)

I don't know anything about Ice Dance but it sounds like Andreev is the real winner, after reading this thread, and he has neither won an Olympic medal nor coached an Olympic medalist.

Meryl is stunning and accomplished, and any man she wants is lucky.

Great picture! but i wish they did it in Black and White.. and then reduced tones/brightness but gave it more contrast. Even a "negative" would be interesting..That would be a nice wall art.
Cute ring, big stone! Meryl is happy. I, on the other hand, given that Michele, Sasha, Tara, Meryl are 'artists on ice' and part of their work is creativity, am hopping just FOR ONCE to see a more interesting engagement ring style than what they all chose....

How do we know that any of these women chose their ring? Perhaps they accepted a ring chosen by their affianced?

ok..... :D.... then Fedor seems to have no imagination? (i am not picking at them.... i refused a marriage proposal once because the guy gave me a similar ring knowing for 3 years that i like Bauhaus and Modernist designs. I decided he is lacking imagination and observation skills.... which are deadly faults for a partner).

Renaissance women in those paintings are not Middle-Eastern..... and "biblical" is at best "near-east".... :D ... and if you add Egypt then it's "north African".....

Just for fun...... we all remember the excavated statue of Nefertiti, right?

Now we can see Nefertiti move..

I didn't realize it was a requirement to have an Olympic medal to be a good husband.

You got it all wrong  I did not realize being an Olympic medalist was a requirement to date Andreev serious until all the gossip from this thread.

IMHO, Meryl is the catch in the couple, not Adreev ... but it is fine as long as she is happy and he is pretty.

Meryl Davis Opens Up About The Proposal, Her Custom-Made Engagement Ring And Sharing Her Personal Life With The World: http://www.teamusa.org/News/2017/Ju...Custom-Made-Engagement-Ring-And-Personal-Life

Update from the article:
A 2014 graduate of University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business, Andreev worked for Boston Consulting Group until recently moving on to a position with a Detroit startup company.
ETA re. their wedding plans:
We’ve touched on it very, very briefly, and both acknowledged that we’re not in a huge rush at all. We would love to do it sometime in the next two years. We would really love something relatively intimate with our closest family and friends – nothing too big. We would love a couple day-long celebrations, just making memories and spending time together. We’ll definitely go on a hike! And Bilbo Baggins (the couple’s Sheepadoodle) obviously will be the ring bearer.
:D

I think most of us have concluded that having been together 6 years and having known each other even longer, and both being adults and having had previous relationship experience, that they are going into this equally and with eyes wide open.

And how do you know this?

They went to Amalfi Coast..... great foto. Bilbo the ring carrier.. :D. Now that's imagination. I forgive the granny estate jewelry ring for that...
All they need is a "dog belt" for the ring.. https://budgetedwedding.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/dog-ring-bearer-pillow.jpg

Real Nefertiti is more lifelike.

Congratulations! I love that Meryl, Fedor, and family love Napa and Sonoma too. Also, great choice of Stinson Beach in Marin as the place to pop the question. :psoty:
We got engaged on Thursday on a hike outside of San Francisco, and even before we had planned on going to Napa and Sonoma with my parents for the weekend

We went on a hike right by Stinson Beach, which was a five- or six-mile hike. One of our favorite things to do is to go on a hike together, so we had the best time. As we approached the water, towards the end of the hike – which was coming towards the beach – I was looking towards the water and I turned around and he was down on one knee.

I also love that Fedor, like Meryl and Charlie, is a Michigan grad. In Fedor's case, a UMBS (Stephen M. Ross School of Business, formerly known as University of Michigan Business School) grad. GO BLUE! :cheer2: :bribe:

If that is true, which I doubt, then he probably dodged a bullet.

Congrats to Meryl! Beautiful girl, fiancé, and ring, and I wish them nothing but the very best!

Bizarre answer. It is like you really don't know them, and should not be passing judgement on other people's impressions.

It's okay for you to make judgements on another's relationship, but not okay for others to make judgements about your judgements. Oh, what a point of view. :drama:

Tinami, there's something nice about you knowing so much about Meryl Davis. I don't know why that makes me feel happy.

Congratulations to the beautiful couple.

BTW, maybe someone already posted about it: Daisuke Takahashi made an appearance on a Japanese TV called "Pittannko kan kan" to promote "Love on the floor". I think it was in May or June? When asked what's the highlight of the show, he replied "Meryl Davis. Meryl is so...so...erotic. Sexy? Um, no, erotic is the word. (quickly adds) In a good way! Erotic in a good way!" LOL
