The reason why they worded it like that is because all three of the senior men at nationals were lacking TES minimums for Worlds, so because PJ was the only one who got them, he's the only one that can go. It's not the same case with the senior ladies because Karly and Natasha both have the minimums. If Graham had got the minimums, then he probably would've been considered over PJ.

I agree, they really should reconsider: Karly got 31 TES at Challenge Cup short program today (5th place).

I'm sorry to rant about this again, but I just don't get the decision to send McKay to Worlds at all. She's placed 32nd two years in a row, and is very unlikely to qualify for the long program again this season unless it's a major splatfest and she goes completely clean.

Robertson just scored 161+ at Challenge Cup (McKay scored 140 at Euros). Karly does 3-3 in the SP, and has consistently scored higher than McKay all season, except at Nationals, where she lost by a point. I understand abiding by nationals results to determine the Euros team, but holding to that nationals result for Worlds too just seems so shortsighted.

I even could understand it if McKay was a young prospect, but she's not. Why insist on sending the skater with not only considerably less scoring potential but less consistency as well?

I see Phillip Harris is sub for Men’s... I wonder if PJ didn’t get the minimum score if they would have actually sent him? I thought he was retiring. I like him so I would rather see him skate than hear him do commentary... that whole Facebook feed commentary was pretty shocking overall

I was pleased to see Rei competing a British event again, she won Novice at Nationals a few years ago but then seemed to focus on Japanese events only. She is so far ahead of most other British skaters it would be great if she decided to represent GBR internationally (if she wanted to of course!)

Speaking of internationals does anyone know how many spots Britain get on the JGP particularly in Men? I saw that Edward Appleby has been assigned Latvia and Croatia, and Joseph Zakipour has been assigned Poland. I was a surprised Conor Bray was not assigned anything. He is very promising IMO.... and also got good scores last week.

Based on GBR skaters' results at 2019 Junior Worlds... 1 entry in 3 events for the men; 1 entry in 5 events for both the ladies and ice dance teams. Are there any GBR junior pairs? If so, 1 entry in 3 events.

Me too! She's such a lovely skater and from what I've seen of her in training very focused and determined. Keeping my fingers crossed this means she's decided to represent GBR, I'd love to see how she'd manage on the JGP.

I did some checking and it looks like Adcock last competed at the British in Dec. 2015 when he won the Junior Pairs title with Chloe Curtin.

7. SELECTION AND QUALIFICATION
7.1 The following process will be followed for any ISU Championship event on the condition that
the athlete(s) has achieved the minimum total technical score as set by the ISU for the relevant
season. Dates of selection meetings will be advertised on the Timeline.

7.2 Each GB Performance Squad athlete(s)/team will have their current season’s best score taken
from any ISU-listed International or ISU Grand Prix in the same category as the Championship
event, where entered by British Ice Skating, totalled with twice the season’s British
Championship score at the same category. All scores obtained before the selection meeting
date will be considered. In normal circumstances, the athlete/team with the highest total
score will usually be considered for selection. All scores are relevant whether achieved as a
GB Performance Squad member or not, and lower-squad level athletes/teams will also be
considered on this basis.

Rose Brown & Hernandez earned 151.58 in the junior dance event at Golden Spin. Am I correct that this score counts?

And if yes, can anyone confirm whether it is the highest international score earned in junior dance for Great Britain this season?

Fear & Waddell had 138.51 at the Baltic Cup, which is @10 points higher than Rose Brown & Hernandez's PB on the JGP. However, if non-JGP events count, I've not been keeping track of other late-season junior dance events/scores this year.
