Unlike skating, you can't go out not knowing what the competitor before you accomplished. That's hard.

Apparently, some gymnasts can. Steve indicated he did not know what his competitors scored until he got off the horse yesterday. he does seem to just ignore everything that’s going on around him.

Yeah, I mean I'm not surprised. Imagine where she could be if she'd been building difficulty for three years.

I wonder why they changed up the timing of the medal ceremonies today. Yesterday they did them right after the event, but today they're waiting until all events are completed to hold the ceremonies.

They seem to get way behind on their time schedule for the event yesterday, which probably messed up the TV networks. so this way they only have to set the medal stand once which should speed things up

To be fair, the scale of values for men's and women's are set completely differently by different committees. So the same vault doesn't have the same value in the two codes.

Except the podium is already set up on the floor since they aren't using that apparatus today. But I expect you're right about adhering to the TV schedule.
