Please help! My crazy cat flopped down on my keyboard and now my screen visual is everything is upside down and backwards! (up is down, right is left, what the heck did he do!!). I finally had to turn my computer screen upside down so I could type this message! How do I make it go back?!

Ctrl - Alt - arrow keys -- keep trying different arrow keys til it's fixed. Up or down arrow probably is the one if you're 180 degrees flipped, the left & right flip 90 degrees.

(Is it wrong that I laughed? And btw that's quite an impressive trick by your cat, are you sure he doesn't have opposable thumbs?)

Thank you!!!!! Geez, freaking cat!!! Yes, its okay that you laughed cause I am laughing .... now anyway. I was messing with it for like 30 minutes trying to do everything upside down and backwards to get to FSU since I knew there would be people here. Its extremely annoying trying to do that. Then I went do'op .. actually turn the screen upside down dummy. :duh:

I think he did it on purpose. I was playing a quick round of Bubble Cat before I got him his din-din and he jumped up on the keyboard tray and plopped right down on the keyboard cause, you know .... its time for ddddiiiinnnnnnneeeeeerrrrrr fffeeeeeeeddddd mmmmmmeeeeeee!!!! :cat:

Sorry! Sorry! So sorry...but I had to laugh also! That brought back terrible memories. Sasha and I have had similar experiences. Glad you got it corrected though.

Warning: Do NOT sit in darkened room at night typing. That is when they like to tiptoe in and suddenly spring up onto your lap...and keyboard...causing problems.

I don't know how to fix that............but my sister (who worked for me) did that all by herself to her computer. OMG it was funny.

My cat Mollie has done that to me twice. She is a evil genius when it comes to messing up computers. One time I was chatting with my nephew on Facebook and left for a minute to get a glass of water. When I came back, she had walked on my keyboard and sent a message to my nephew. I didn't want him to think I was drunk messaging him, particularly since she had managed to include a derogatory name, so I told him the cat did it. Another time she somehow did a search on New Jersey. She also did something that made my keyboard not work. I had to use my phone to search for a solution.

...i was so afraid you were going to write about how she did something horrible to the keyboard.

the naughtiest thing my cat did to my laptop was: she attacked it. i was only gone a few minutes (fatal words) and she clawed up several keys and ran off with them.

i couldn't believe how broken the laptop looked.

fortunately it was a mac, a fairly new one. i took it to the apple store and the tech took one look and said: "Cat? A grey cat?"

I asked how he knew, and he said, "Your keyboard is full of grey cat hair."

Astounding. Sherlock Holmes hoovered out the innards of the laptop and replaced all the keys free of charge.

He said that he would list the problem as "Drunk Cat"

I did the same thing myself once by accident. Try Googling the solution with a screen at 90 degrees. Also, it was difficult to control the mouse since up would go left and down would go right.

But the worse I did was setting my new screen to some Asian characters by accident. How do you go back to another language when all the options are written in mysterious signs? Fortunately, I knew more or less what I had pushed on last, so after a few tries, I noticed I still had mysterious signs, but they were changing, and eventually I found my way back to some latin alphabet. Phew!

I recommend buying a silicone skin for your keyboard. It will protect against hair, dirt, and liquid spills. We learned about this after my husband spilled white wine on his Mac and completely fried the display and other circuits. He got the Kuzy brand and loves it.

The garden kitty also clawed off the backspace key once when I was trying to remove him from the computer. I ended up having to get a new keyboard and that hardest part of that was removing all the tiny little screws to replace the keyboard.
Mollie clawed off a key but I was able to put it back on.

Back in the old days of pop-out modems my cat got annoyed that I was working instead of paying attention to her. She ripped the modem out with her teeth! Phones existed back then, too. And she would try to hang up if I was on the phone.
