Jean Marsh, who co-created "Upstairs Downstairs" with Eileen Atkins and had a tremendously long and varied career, has died at age 90.

Two of the stars of "Willow" have passed within two weeks of each other? Bummer. (Jean Marsh played the evil queen Bavmorda, for those who don't remember.) I loved that movie so much. Didn't much care for the sequel series, but the original movie was pure fun (and damn, Val Kilmer was hot with long dark hair, lol).

One of the last surviving game show hosts from the classic era (following Peter Marshall and Chuck Woolery, both of whom passed in 2024), Wink Martindale at the age of 91
(I had been a frequent viewer of his YouTube channel featuring lots of rare episodes/pilots)

I realize he was sick and hospitalized very recently for a long time, but I'm sort of surprised by this one. He seemed to be doing better. And he made an appearance for Easter.
He was still quite weak. Maybe the Easter appearances and dealing with and meeting J.D. Vance was too much for him? Not a joke. Pope Francis was very unhappy with Vance, what he has said, and what the Trump administration has been doing to immigrants.

I'm not Catholic, but all my aunts and uncles were including their children, my first cousins. My dad was Catholic but left the church and became Baptist when he married my mom.

I've kept up with all the Popes because of the fact that the majority of my family is Catholic. I liked Pope Francis because of him focusing on the poor and less fortunate. I liked him because he was more of a modern-day thinker.

For some reason, I woke up early this morning and saw on the news where Pope Francis had passed away. He was pretty cool in my books because he welcomed all people including gay people that believed in God which is the way it should be. It's sort of like the belief that my dad had because it didn't matter to him if people were gay. That didn't define the person as a human being. My dad felt no different about his step-granddaughter when she told him she was gay. She was still his granddaughter, and he knew how wonderful and caring she was as a person. That's why Pope Francis was my favorite Pope.

I found this from Vatican News.
