I believe it. I know a lot of people who weren't fans of her portrayal of Storm, but they cut a lot of her scenes in the first film (she she played the character with an accent to show her origin). I remember they changed the character a bit for the second film to make Storm more stylistically closer to what Halle probably liked, but substantively, they didn't really write for her or give her much to do story-wise. I think she was pretty displeased with how it went down, so I can see the producers enticing her to sign on again with a script they never intended to use.
Same here. Everyone kept saying the sex comedy was funny but I am failing to see how.
I actually paid to see that stupid movie in the theater. Because of Jennifer Lawrence generally picking good material. Uh, no.

Apparently Lisa Marie must have seen an early cut of the film, or a copy of the script or something before she died, because she was very upset and didn't want Priscilla released due to how her father was portrayed. It must have been horrifying for her to see the man she idolized (and lost when she was very young) portrayed as, in essence, a sexual predator. Viewed through a present-day lens, however, that's exactly what he was. Priscilla's parents basically sold their underage daughter to a man who was a decade older than she was. There's really no way to sugar coat that.
I wonder if this was part of Lisa Marie’s estrangement with her mom, since the movie was based on her mom’s book and Sofia Coppola made Priscilla a producer of the movie.

Yeah. The very first scene was Priscilla sitting in a diner, drinking a milkshake, and being approached by a man who invites her to a party at Elvis’ house (which really did happen). It’s very difficult not to see the red flag.
