Lara was actually replying to my post specifically about Ohio State, which I actually didn't abbreviate on purpose, so I figured it was clear which school was being talked about up there. I have a lot of friends in Oklahoma so I knew to spell things out to prevent any confusion. :)

And UCLA joining the Big Ten is super exciting for me since I've always love their gymnastics (especially their FX routines)....I hope I get a lot of opportunities to see them since the Pac12 meets were rarely aired on a channel that I get on my cable system. Bring it on! :cheer:

And I might be able to go to a MD UCLA meet at College Park - Bruins are supposed to be coming this year! Might be a hot ticket though!

We are going to try to go to that meet as well. Home meets have been free; I wonder if a single program like UCLA would cause them to start charging.

Well Michigan/Denver was quite the “nobody wants to win this” meet. Yes, it’s the first go for both, but geez!

That meet was a bit of a train wreck but LSU looked really good on Friday night. Excited for that big quad meet competition coming up this weekend (I think it's called the Sprouts Invitational?). Should be a good one! :cheer:

I watched that last night and that 10 is very well deserved! That was a gorgeous routine. I cannot believe she was away for over a year and then pulled that awesome beam set out!

Jordan Chiles got a 10 for her bars set today so I guess the judges aren't as afraid to give them out now (BTW-her bars set was amazing). :cheer:

Jumpstarting this thread for the conference tourneys this weekend and selection show at noon on Monday on ESPN U. I’m team anyone but Oklahoma but leaning to Utah to send Grace McCallum out with a bang.

I watched the first session of the Big Ten championship earlier tonight and after the way some of that judging went for all of those teams, I am very interested in seeing how they judge the other two sessions tomorrow.

This weekend has so many sessions and championships that you can't even watch all of them! I'm gonna focus on Big Ten and SEC as far as watching live tomorrow but I will check in on the ACC and Big 12 ones too. Let the crazy begin! :biggrinbo

I won’t get what I want, but I am rooting for Florida for team (LSU back up), Jade for AA (or Leanne if no team title), Grace for UB, Jordan Chiles FX, Helen Hu BB, and I don’t care for VT. Of course this ignores Oklahoma so unrealistic.

Maybe we can send them some invisibility leos?

My DVR will be working overtime today. I hope I can find time to watch most tomorrow and Monday as I’ll need to clear space for Worlds.

Lots of great gymnastics today! I would prefer if the judging started getting more consistent but it's been a bit of mess all season anyway so why wish for what isn't going to happen? :shuffle:

Anyway, I was able to watch both sessions for Big Tens and the SEC live along with some parts of the ACC championships (they overlapped too much of the other ones for me to catch all of them but I was shocked that Stanford upset Cal) and there was a LOT of great gymnastics on display today. i think my faves to watch were UCLA on UB, beam, and FX at Big Tens (BROOKLYN MOORS FINALLY GOT HER FX 10!! :cheer: ), MSU was SO good on vault and beam, Florida on UB was ridiculous (not sure Riley deserved that 10 though), I love watching Kentucky on beam and FX, Missouri on FX was a lot of fun, Auburn is also so good on beam (so bummed that they ended their meet with a fall on UB), and dang, LSU in general was SO good in all of their events at SEC's that I couldn't help cheering for them (KONNER on beam and bars! :swoon: ). The post season is gonna be insane in the best way.....so much good gymnastics still to come. I hope they all still have stuff left in the tanks for regionals! :cheer:

I still have a few rotations to watch, but the shakeup just before regionals was welcome. As I see it, there are 7 teams with the fire power to win nationals! Woo hoo for true fans.

NOTE: Tomorrow at noon EST they are doing an NCAA gymnastics selection show on ESPNU to name the brackets and give us the team assignments for the regional competitions. I won't get to watch live as I work in the office tomorrow but wanted to put this news here in case anyone else is able to watch it. :)

The selection show itself was quite a thing! They encouraged schools to have watch parties that they would show when being announced, but then the teams that did were basically "held captive" to listen to John and Sam's live commentary about them.

Can someone point me to a code for a free trial of ESPN+? Regionals start tomorrow and I’m hoping to catch some of the action. After nearly 60 hours of Worlds last week, I suspect my attention span won’t justify paying.
