Have you listened to the clip that got Wootton fired? It was harmless and, if you listen to the full interview he gave with Kelly, there were some extenuating circumstances that got him fired that didn't have anything to do with the on-air comment. He is, if you'll recall, the journalist who broke the Megxit story, so he's not exactly without excellent sources in and around the BRF.

As far as Kelly is concerned - yes, heaven forbid her principles and positions are in any way conservative. That's just a bridge too far. She regularly appeared on Wootton's show when he was on GBN and has a long-standing friendship with him. She's also been following this story - she talked about it again on yesterday's show with the guys from the Ruthless podcast and she discussed it earlier in the week with another guest. She's clearly fascinated by the story. I wish she wasn't glomming onto some of the really salacious conspiracy theory reporting that is out there about this situation and she doesn't strike me as having quite the same depth and breadth of knowledge/interest in the BRF as Martha McCallum (who is the best of the US anchors in covering the BRF that I've seen during the last several years of watching major events like Prince Harry's book release and all the Sussex drama, QEII's death and the coronation) but she's much better and more credible than a lot of others who are covering this story and have platforms on YT.

I found yesterday's "Palace Confidential" from the Daily Mail to be really interesting and Rebecca English had some good insights into the whole drama as well especially regarding the handling of it by KP.

He is also close to Beatrice, Eugenie and Sarah. He is very well connected to various members of the BRF and their staff members.

Everything I have seen, heard and read about Kate's condition from the regular royal reporters based in London has made it clear that it was a major medical event and very serious. The fact that most of the tabloids have refrained from speculation tells me they probably all know more than they've let on and are respecting her privacy by just not going down that road at all. We just don't have the precise details about what the nature of the illness is - and we don't need them.

It was known from the very beginning that this was a major and very serious medical event. No one stays in the hospital for two weeks, especially a royal who could have a hospital room set up at home, unless it is something very serious.

Stephen Colbert's hurtful comments about Prince William and Rose Hanbury at such a delicate time for Kate are awful enough. Now Perez quoting, I think Scobie, alleging that Rose and William have a daughter together, Catherine found out at Christmas and has lost her mind, I have no words for. My how convenient the word allegedly is. Both of these people - Stephen and Scobie - are in some way connected to Harry and Meghan. I genuinely hope they are not the source of any of this because it has a clear ring of hatred. Innocent children are involved.

Um ... so I went down a rabbit hole and looked up Hanbury's daughter Iris. And ... she does look so much like William. Just sayin' ...
Plus the rumors of Will stepping out on Kate are not new. And unfortunately it's pretty on brand for the BRF.

Colbert certainly crossed a line, and I would not take him at his word of knowing anything, but other than doing interviews on his show (which I think all late night hosts had), what connection?

This sort of speculation is vile. Whatever one thinks about the BRF or her mother, Lady Iris is a child and not a public figure. She should be off-limits.

I did not make this up. This speculation has been all over the internet since the "where's Kate" stuff went viral.:rolleyes:

Absolutely

People see what people want to see. Speculation is harmful to everyone, particularly to children.

Um, you might want to be sure the picture you think you saw is correct because if we learned anything lately about photos...

And I think the "Sussex Squad" should remember how Harry felt about paternity rumours.

I have been a huge Colbert fan since his bit on The Daily Show but he messed up on this one. Disappointing that of all the things he could have made fun of that was the direction he picked. He approves what the writers come up with and he went out there and did that so he bears the blame for that.

Sure, but if you do a deep dive into the "all over the internet" sources - a lot of them are Sussex Squad people who have always had an ax to grind with William, Catherine and their kids. They've said and tried to spread a LOT of ugly things about the Wales family over the years.

Connect the dots. I have been wondering, based on how many mainstream media is running with salacious gossip, whether WME isn't involved somehow. And no I am not putting that on Megan/Harry but on their agency taking advantage of this disaster by KP to boost their clients worth (and launch her newest adventure)..

Not my field of expertise, I think we actually have some experts here who can chime in, but my gut says this was handed to them on a silver platter to try to use to their advantage.

There is something about this whole thing that seems very coordinated.

A few weeks ago there was a bunch of posts on Twitter with the same wording that said (paraphrasing here) "I don't really follow the British royals but where is Kate Middleton?"

that reminds me. For my Senior year of HS, I went to college instead and when I came back to my HS to visit, my friends were abuzz with a new Freshman student who they claimed looked just like me. :lol: Oh and my family when I was in the 13-ish age range would not stop going on about how much I looked like my Aunt when she was that age. I was not related to this Aunt biologically in anyway; she came into the family by marriage.

I guess I have several fathers. :lol:
