Ok I love this program. He really sells it.

He doesn't look happy though with his performance.

Program is great for him. Composition, he’s trying. There’s no doubt there is a lot more content this season. Performance, give him great marks. Skating skills- still lacking.

Malinin: 4f ( steps out), 3A, Camel sping, nice, 4z/3t easy. Combo spin directly into steps but energy saved for the "raspberry."

Good but not his best SP.

Ilia!!! Not gonna lie, I'm totally okay with fangirls screaming. We need this for the sport in the US right now.

Eeek - step out on the 4f but easy 3a; I'm really not sure about this airbrushed "hoodie" HUGE 4z+3t! He's one of the few skaters who makes that heel pivot in the combo spin work and I really like it. And of course the crowd goes wild for the raspberry twist, lol. TES is the same as Miura before it drops off the screen, but we know he'll lead despite the 4f error, because he's the World Champ.

Some of the rock the baby armography I find superfluous, but otherwise the comp and choreo is well suited and an improvement.

Skating skills nowhere near Kao but Ilia has shown a lot of growth in style. Shae-Lynn is a genius.

Ilya looks like he just walked out of my classroom on a dress down day and will probably stop to vape in the bathroom with the boys before heading to geometry, making plans as to whether they're going to loiter at the gas station or McDonalds after school till their mom picks them up. I don't hate it.

This program feels so much more appropriate and in his zone for Ilia, comes across more authentic. Too bad about the opening quad.

Can’t wait to see the Quad Axel tomorrow!! I will never forget seeing it live at Lake Placid for the first time in history at the US Classic 2 years ago.

This program is such a step up for Ilia. I was really surprised with how he ends on a step sequence. That’s really pushing and challenging his ability to perform and sell a program. And the step sequence is just designed to be so expansive, with the step/turn combinations mixed with all these moves in the field - like a hybrid step and choreo sequence.

Truly brilliant choreography and program design.

Perhaps he should go to Kiliakov and Novak to improve his skating skills. They are based in Northern Virginia.
