Camden Pulkinen was back for a return Spring visit. Egor Murashov visited too.
Not sure if Camden Pulkinen has been to Champéry yet? He visited Lambiel's group in Latvia last year to have his SP choreographed and recently was in Telfs, Austria for FS choreography (his photo with Lambiel: https://www.instagram.com/p/BxxFNj9phiu/ ).

Also at the Telfs camp (May 16 to 26, 2019) were Austria's Maurizio Zandron, Deniss Vasiljevs, Koshiro Shimada, Sweden's Matilda Algotsson, Egor Murashov (his photos: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx7ifR0oibv/ ), GBR's Luke Digby (his photos: https://www.instagram.com/p/BxvDQWcpj36/ ), Germany's Ann-Christin Marold and others: https://www.facebook.com/Eislaufschule/photos/pcb.2192003774249006/2192001510915899/?type=3&theater

USA's Pooja Kalyan visited Champéry back in April and I assume that is where she got her SP ("Meditation" from Thais by Jules Massenet) choreographed by Lambiel.

My talk with Matilda

Matilda Algotsson: "I love this sport so much and I don't want to stop"
http://absoluteskating.com/interviews/2019algotsson.html

Yesterday, some of them had a pairs training with Bruno Massot:
(I don't recognise anyone of the students except British singles skater Luke Digby)

Apparently Deniss twisted his ankle earlier this week but he should be okay for Euros (fingers crossed!)

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that Stephane and Deniss aren't social distancing. :saint:
And also to Erin and Vagabond who "signed" with shocked and sad emoticons - of course, Stephane and Deniss are not social distancing, because they live in one house, as they always have during those years when Deniss has been training in Champery and as have all of Stephane's students and also skaters who have been there for choreography. I don't doubt that Shoma Uno, for instance, has returned to Japan in this time and probably so has Koshiro Shimada, but perhaps it's not that surprising that Deniss decided to stay in Champery instead of returning to Latvia where he has not lived for many years. Other skaters who have been training in another country have also stayed there instead of returning to their country.

So I think your remark and emoticons are not very appropriate.

For those interested in seeing what a beautiful place the rink in Champery is, this video from Maia and Alex Shibutani on their ShibSibs Youtube channel is a wonderful look inaside the rink and also Stephane's home. Skaters working with Stephane, seem to stay with him as well. Looks like they have so much fun cooking. The Shibs talked about staying up late and talking about music and skating. Such a gorgeous mountain setting, like a post card dream.

ShibSibs: SWITZERLAND!!!

Not that it's anyone's business but Stéphane mentioned in "Open Ice" that there is a close circle of 5-6 people he is "not social distancing with".

On a different subject I really loved the training session he did (not sure I'll be able to repeat all the exercises he proposed, but I will be doing at least the "warm up" part, which is a full workout by my standards :D ).
And I loved having that talk with him we published. The question about him not getting that medal - which seemed and felt back then like the end of the world - was something I wanted to ask him for a long time.

This morning I actually did the first 10 minutes of Stephane's exercises. They were great! Tomorrow I'll try to do more. My goal is to get through the whole session!

You are entitled to your opinion, and we are entitled to ours. And I think something else is not very appropriate, namely that which underlies your euphemism
I may have misunderstood your reaction (or probably not) and I also hope I misunderstood casken's remark, but it doesn't seem so. Actually, it's less about your reaction and your opinion, than about what you were reacting to/opining about. If I was right what casken was hinting at is not very appropriate (to be hinting at) in this situation and, no, nothing to do with both of them being men. And I don't know what euphemism you are talking about, for I didn't use any - at least not intentionally.

And it's not because they are both men.
No, them living in one house has nothing to do with both of them being men. I already explained quite extensively what it has to do with.

For someone who pays so much attention to what reactions people give to thread, you obviously haven't learned how I use that emoji reaction.

As a a fan of both Lambiel and Vasiljevs, I do indeed pay attention to this thread, what people are writing about them, as well as to other people's reactions to that. But, no, I haven't exactly paid attention to how individual users of this board, including you, use this or other emoticons. Because of that I admit that I shouldn't have assumed anything. Seems that there was a misunderstanding on my part, and I apologize to you for that.

Belated reply: their Switzerland video was filmed after 2017 Worlds in Helsinki.

Glad I found this thread to use for the latest updates from Switzerland!

Article in Italian, published today (Alexia Paganini's recent coaching change to Lambiel was posted last month in the current OES news thread):

Stéphane Lambiel is on the cover of IFS Magazine and there is a story on him in the magazine. There is also a new story on him in the August issue of Pirouette (German magazine).
Features on Team Champéry skaters are coming up on Golden Skate. Koshiro Shimada was the first one, Alexia Paganinin and Deniss Vasiljevs are to follow.

2 tweets re. Deniss Vasiljevs from a series of tweets today: https://twitter.com/JudithDomi1/status/1288940692715319299
#denissvasiljevs about his new programs according to the German „Piruette“ magazine:
The SP is patriotic - has something to do with Latvia
In the LP he will show a new side of himself and worked with a professional ballet dancer.
I finished my second university year. During isolation I could study with a more tight schedule. I am studying human sciences. When I am done I will be some kind of an educator.“

The Skating School of Switzerland will hold a Showcase exhibition on August 1 (skaters selected from their summer camp) that will be open to the public with safety measures (free but registration for tickets required): https://twitter.com/SkatingSchoolCH/status/1288870846715625473

Stéphane was (uncharacteristically :D) active online during these last months - held training sessions, recorded various encouraging videos, etc. He got a lot of attention from media, Swiss media covered them going back to the ice, Swiss team camp and Alexia's move quite extensively.

Among things which were not published here yet.
All ISU training sessions w/ 3S (I use part of his exercises now and it IS getting easier with time to do them):
Article on ISU site about training sessions with quotes from him:
https://www.isu.org/figure-skating/...es-and-builds-for-the-future?templateParam=15

He also held a training session on Swiss TV (in French), that one is even easier and totally feasible, it also includes his recipe for homemade granola bars.

Small videos posted during worldwide lockdown:
From Swiss press:
My "older" materials from "Music on Ice" which was held last January (currently the only European show he still participates in):

About students and other coaches of Team Champéry (this name was initially invented and used by fans, but seems like they "adopted" it now too).

New full-time coach in 3S team - Angelo Dolfini.
His Wikipage: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelo_Dolfini
Angelo is a 4-time Italian Champion who participated in Europeans, Worlds, and the Olympic Games. He has been teaching since 2003 in Italy and Switzerland. He brings us technical and strategic expertise as well as a rich and solid experience.
https://www.instagram.com/p/CC8SBZepqeL/

Anna Ovcharova, former Swiss national champion who was coached by Peter Grütter and who is now working as script writer, made a documentary about Peter and posted teasers on her Instagram account:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B_wSUOZpt2q/
https://www.instagram.com/p/CAE_HEZpssX/

ISU article about friendship included quotes from Team Champéry students and some nice photos too:
https://www.isu.org/figure-skating/...-stronger-during-tough-times?templateParam=15

Talking about "Team Champéry", there is very active fan Twitter which follows their news:
https://twitter.com/teamchampery

And Skating School themselves are recently more active than their usual one-photo-in-half-a-year approach:
https://twitter.com/SkatingSchoolCH
https://www.instagram.com/skatingschool/
They posted photos from the international summer camp which was held there these days, among the participants were Rika Kihira, German skaters Paul Fentz, Kai Jagoda, Thomas Stoll, Italian skater Lara Naki Gutmann, Swiss skater Noaki Rossi (who was the one who performed with Stéphane during the YOG opening ceremony) and others.
