I didn’t see Michelle Obama at today’s service for President Carter. Is she ok? Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush were there. It was odd to see Obama sitting without his wife.

CNN said she had a scheduling conflict and was in Hawaii on an extended vacation.

She refused to shake his hand. I don't think she's over the hang her husband thing

Apparently, only Obama spoke to Trump. G.W. Bush walked past without acknowledging him. Pity he didn't make such a public statement last fall. The Clintons, Bidens, Kamala and Doug all ignored him. Nobody spoke to Melania. And, class acts that he and Melania are, they were the only people who didn't put their hand over their heart as a sign of respect when the coffin passed.

Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff could be seen having a momentary polite interaction with Trump and Melania. It was after the casket had been carried out of the cathedral at the end of the service.

I was surprised to hear Jimmy & Rosalynn washed and recycled Ziploc bags. ...

I loved this down-to-earth detail about the Carters.
