What is there to say? I'm really lacking for words.
He's Michelangelo on Ice. Love this boy to bits. I am so happy for him. :swoon:

They kinda ruined for me these Olympics before it started. But it has turned into a hell of a competition. :encore:
I hope it will continue with the Ladies and Dance. :cheer2:

Beautiful instagram post from Misha Ge (the photo is also beautiful)
Two month ago, was his darkest time. Remember how we talk through all these things on the phone by the the text. In one of our conversation i told him few things : “is dark now, but it for shinning later” & “i see a lot, but the fire you have is rare and special. If you will want it so bad, nothing can hold you”. And so today was your day, and so today was the shine. Proud and Resect of You, my Good Friend.

they asked yuzuru "where are you going to be after the olympics," and he said that he doesn't know, it'll depend on the condition of his ankle. but the first thing he'll do is to go back to japan to get his ankle x-rayed and looked at, since it is not healed yet
and
q: thoughts about competing in the beijing olympics in 2022? yuzuru: i'm not thinking about that at all. before thinking about whether i can make it to 2022 or not, i'm in a condition right now where i dont know if i'll be able to compete the rest of this season or next season
and
"i started practicing forcibly even though my ankle was still in an unsuitable state, and somehow made it here. i was full of gratitude for my ankle."
from https://twitter.com/michaeljardins/status/965003246057197568
I hope it's nothing serious. This is killing me.

I hate post Olympics :fragile:
Ok that was yesterday maybe he was tired and drained. Today in the press conference with international reporters he said this:
they asked if yuzuru will rest or continue after this season, and he said that it will be a tough time ahead, including rehabilitation, but he still wants to skate and cites the 4A as one motivation
https://twitter.com/michaeljardins/...share|twsrc^m5|twgr^email|twcon^7046|twterm^3
And
yuzuru: the quad axel has been a dream since i was little. right now, i feel that i keep wanting to reach for the top. it is the king of all jumps.
So he wants to rehab seriously so he can be healthy again to land 4A (in competition). Ughh there goes my sanity.

I think this is full translation of this morning talk about his current condition:https://twitter.com/iron_klaus/status/965154261427507200

In short he wants to stay, he doesn’t want to give up. He wants to aim for the 4A. But his injury is complicated so he doesn’t know what he will do for now. He has to check his ankle seriously. I hope he will be able to rest soon and heal well. No ice show please.

This is an interview translation that @SmallFairy brought up in the Shoma thread. I don't think it has been posted here yet? This one was with both Yuzu and Shoma and it's more lighthearted in tone, but there's some talk about the injury as well: http://shoma-uno.tumblr.com/post/170985935757/live-interview-with-shoma-and-yuzuru-on-going

small excerpt:
U: What is something that you would like to do right now?

Y: Rehabilitation.

U: Last time I asked you this same question at Sochi, you were like “I would like to practice my 4S”, and I told you to rest. Do you remember that?

Y: Yes I do.

U: Right now, I just want you to rest.

Wow some of these quotes coming out in Yuzuru's post-event press interviews are just . They just show once again the strength of will--and desire to win--that Yuzuru has. It's amazing and even a bit scary ....

After reading this, I'm assuming we won't see him at Worlds and I hope for his sake that he doesn't compete there. he obviously needs to take a step back and put his body first. He sounds reconciled to whatever happens next.

I would so love to see him compete even just one more season. But whatever is best for him, obviously.

We can be assured he wants to stay for the 4A:
First of all, I have no intention to quit skating, not yet. But as I said before, I have a feeling that I achieved my dream. I have a sense of achievement that I have done what I should have done. My feeling now is refreshing. Meanwhile, I have other things I still want to do within the realm of figure-skating. If I have anything to say apart from figure-skating, well… what would that be… (after thinking for a while) I have thought about it now for a while, but after going round, my thought still came back to something related to figure-skating. (laughter) I can now say from the bottom of my heart that it was good that I devoted my entire life for figure-skating. I still would like to devote a little more, spend a little bit more of my life for figure-skating.
‘As you said, I would like to try 4A. It’s not because it’s an element yet to be achieved by anyone. If I were a child, I would have said that it’s unachieved by anyone.

But his condition will take time to heal:
As for the current condition of my injuries, quite honestly, I do not know the details of the current status. I went through many substantive check-ups, but some parts of ligament had already been damaged, and the new injuries I caused [at the practice of NHK cup] were so complicated that the check-ups could not detect what were wrong. So many kinds of new pain came out. Therefore, it is not clear what is causing which pain and what kind of treatment would work best, at the moment. Well, perhaps, I should stop here…? (laughter)
and
In fact, it is not clear even now what will happen next under the current condition [of my ankle]. So, it’s a slightly complicating situation.

and here is the part in English, he answered some cute questions about Pooh in ENGLISH. I am so proud of him. He really tried his best to learn English.

I am so glad to hear he is continuing. I hope that means atleast to the Worlds in Montreal. Any chance if his body holds up he even tries for a historic 3 peat in 2022.

I hope his doctor will find out the way to treat his ankle. I think he will skip this WC and the whole GP next season.

The HD video of the press con with JOC, when they said he would answer in English his face was like HELL NO lol so funny: https://youtu.be/-iqPKgAOLpg?t=1m17s

Asked about taking part in the world championships starting on March 19 in Milan, Hanyu said he was still undecided.

"With the state of my ankle at the front of my mind, I want to decide various things. ... The injured part is something that can't be fixed by surgery, so while I still don't know anything for sure I want to make healing it a priority," he said.
