This is the toughest event of the entire season for JPN Skaters.
When Kaori was asked by the press, which is more difficult to "threepete", Worlds or Nationals, she thought for a moment and replied, probably Nationals, since she does not have to compete with Junior skaters at the Worlds. She added that almost ten years ago, when Kaori made it to her first senior Nationals, she was all set to beat elder skaters there, so she understands the mindset of younger skaters, but now the tables are turned.
It is expected that Mao, Rinka and Hana will attempt 3A in the SP.
