Jackie's Verdun Auditorium practice rink photo early this morning:
I believe he's also cross-posting his practice observations on Threads. He's just starting to post about the Men in the practice rink now.

More media credentialed accounts to follow for practice reports & photos:

Golden Skate: https://www.instagram.com/goldsk8/ & https://twitter.com/goldenskate

In the Loop’s first photos are of the 3 Korean women at the practice rink: https://twitter.com/InTheLoPodcast/status/1769692375679418827
Lim/Quan practicing at Bell Centre: https://twitter.com/InTheLoPodcast/status/1769716012117618701

Mao Yanzheng's first set of practice photos are Komatsubara/Koleto at Bell Centre: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4p7bUcOOAs/

No. Canada never indulges us like NBC does when it is in charge of providing the video for the competition.
I don’t see practices listed on Peacock. If I’m wrong, someone, anyone please correct me. Thanks in advance.

I'm a bit surprised that IAM skaters are at the practices the first day. I would have thought they would take advantage of being in their home training environment as long as possible.

I believe once they check into the official hotel they are not allowed to practice except during official practices. The Verdun rink is one of the rinks they use, so if it was unavailable because it is the official practice rink that would make it more difficult to schedule their skaters at the other Montreal rinks they use. It probably was just easier on IAM in general to have their Worlds teams check into the hotel yesterday and let the rest of their teams fight for ice time at the other rinks they use for this week.

I swear we have seen practices on YouTube or some other competitions besides skate America and US nationals, I swear I remember watching Amber in Finland for her practices. And some of the other Grand Prix events.

If I come across any practice footage filmed by fans on YT I will post links in this thread (ditto for any notable practice clips on Instagram or X). Credentialed media (like Jackie) are not allowed to post clips on social media.

According to Jackie, "Looks like Amber Glenn has swapped 3Lz2A2A for 3Lo2A2A"; she attempted 3 3A - stood up on 2 & landed 1.

I'm seeing a few 5-second clips here and there, but not full runthrough videos or anything like that.

I believe this Japanese photographer is credentialed (women & men so far at the practice rink): https://twitter.com/fsphoto_syo
ETA link to see Donovan Carrillo''s "hot pink jacket" (& Kao Miura rinkside), mentioned by @Lara below: https://twitter.com/fsphoto_syo/status/1769741970715414996

This fan is posting practice photos, starting with the women at Verdun: https://twitter.com/michlmint
If she films any practice clips she usually uploads to her Instagram account (will post links if it happens).

Mao Yanzheng's photos of Lim/Quan: https://www.instagram.com/p/C4qKfD4uPcj/

Praise Jesus! I’ve been wanting her to scrap that Lutz for 50 years.

No, what @Karen-W is saying is that Skate Canada does not produce broadcasts of the practices the way that NBC/Peacock does for competitions held in the US.
Thanks. I wasn’t clear on my ask. I didn’t realize that Peacock only shows practices in the US. But now I know and I’m saddened.

My thanks to everyone posting practice content.

Sad to report Ellie Kam didn’t land any of her throws or jumps during the run through of their Long.

Welllllll... maybe that bodes well for the competition itself. Saving the good jumps for when it matters?

Any reports on Chan/Howe and how their lifts are looking?

This was just posted in the Pairs general discussion thread re. Howe:
Someone who attended the main rink practice reported it seems like he's still having some issues with his shoulder https://twitter.com/abbylckharts/status/1769746183931502903?t=QsuCSXpqxPCe37dDT76U0Q&s=19
Same fan has posted a 45-second clip of Plazas/Fernandez's FS run through to the end (that she called clean): https://twitter.com/abbylckharts/status/1769749191511707701

And 2 clips of Lim/Quan's RD: https://twitter.com/abbylckharts/status/1769720281617031335

Group just ended, wish they could’ve stayed longer. It wasn’t perfect, Yuma’s jumps weren’t on in run through and Kao had a fluke fall. Still going to be hard to top rest of day, Shoma and Yuma are truly butter and Kao’s ending footwork is electric. :swoon:

Also should say Virtanen has become a very nice skater over the years - glad he got the minimums to be here! Hard fall in his SP but hopefully not come competition.

The Salchows just posted some clips of Holichenko/Darenskiy and Chan/Howe too. Chan/Howe ran through their SP - Emily seemed to intentionally bail out of her SBS jump and they only did one rev on their DS.

No Boyang sadly. Lol I think his SP music just got lowered in volume to avoid blasting. Appleby’s disco was fun!

Ellie Kam landed (off balance/- goe) her opening sbs 3S in TheSalchows' Insta story clip I just watched.

Yes, Emily Chan's 2T looked intentional.

There seem to be school kids in the audience today - they're reacting loudly after the pairs' tricks. :)

It's not that they would only show practices in the US it's that they would produce that content for themselves, and for competitions outside the US they have to rely on the local organization, and broadcaster, and Skate Canada doesn't have the same history of producing practices for broadcast for international events.
