Chris Knierim was there with Alexa, but flew home before the ceremony because their dog was dying. Alexa posted about it here. https://www.instagram.com/p/C-aa5HIOG0U/?igsh=MTcxM3I1ejRveWR1dg==
Tarasova. So classyNow for someone from the Russian Olympic Committee team to be equally classy.
Who will it be?
ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL"The Olympic Committee should treat everyone equally, especially us."
She clearly does not understand that in "equal" there's no "especially,"
Wow, I’d love to know which sports, athletes and countries.More athletes got upgraded/re-allocated medals today due to Russian doping, as far back as London.
It includes Sydney 2000 and Beijing 2008 also:Wow, I’d love to know which sports, athletes and countries.
Anyone know why he didn’t join in?Shoma really needed to be here with his teammates ice shows are a dime a dozen but this is one in a lifetime experience.
Because he thought he would miss taking part in an ice show he was booked for the next day (at his coaches rink in Switzerland). He could have made it, definitely. A strange decision. But of course, it is his medal, he can do what he wants.Anyone know why he didn’t join in?
At least Yuma was there and Yuma outperformed him in the traditional solo event (Shoma 3rd to Yuma’s 2nd)…but Yuma was ill during Worlds and Shoma won Worlds a month later. Shoma repeated his World championship in 2023. Maybe the 2022 Olympic team silver was not a big deal for Shoma, in the scheme of things. His choice.Because he thought he would miss taking part in an ice show he was booked for the next day (at his coaches rink in Switzerland). He could have made it, definitely. A strange decision. Sydney 2000 - Women's 200 mI had no idea so many were reallocated. It really show the breath of the problem and I wish we also would be told the names of the dopers who created the need for this because unless you’re following a particular sport outside of the Olympics, they live in our memory as the winners.
No, all of these medal reallocations were related to doping. There are no restrictions on athletes making money from their sport any longer.Often it has nothing to do with doping but other rules. Remember how Kilius/Baumler were stripped their Pairs FS silver medals in 1964, due to professional activities, then got them back in the 1980s.
More than 50% are Russian. Two Turkish. One American. Five Russians. Just sayin' . . . . .Sydney 2000 - Women's 200 m

Nice, but meanwhile how much $$$$ under the table has Bach and his cronies pocketed for awarding the Olympics to autocrats who have state sponsored doping and use the Olympics to further consolidate their undemocratic power??? And look the other way or give slaps on the wrist when systemic doping tests are failed. The 9 US skaters that received their Gold Medals in Paris were each allowed 2 VIP guests. The guests were each given a USA hoodie, Tshirt and a pair of Nike shoes.
Each skater was allowed 3 business class tickets OR 6 economy class tickets to Paris.
