Why are ilia and Z/K doing more assignments?
All of the ice dance teams that have byes to Nats seem to have been signed up for 2 Challengers. I'm guessing that the Browns, GreenP and NesMark will be assigned to Golden Spin.

No idea why Ilia is doing another Challenger - maybe he wants to try a new FS layout in a lower-key event ahead of the GPF. Warsaw Cup is in 4 weeks and then the GPF is 2 weeks after that.

Weather advisories are not specific to venues: they are for people who are living in and traveling in the area, and are generally there to keep the lanes clear for emergency access and for keeping people from making risky outings, diverting resources from an emergency. Good for Nice that it avoided a big weather event. Manila was thigh-deep in floods last week.

USFS' International Assignments page is updated with the CS Warsaw Cup entries as of Oct. 31: https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...25-international-assignments-and-results.aspx
Clare Seo
Lucas Broussard (now has a bye through his Pacific Coast Sectional), Maxim Naumov
Isabelle Martins/Ryan Bedard, Audrey Shin/Balazs Nagy (int'l debut for the team)
Eva Pate/Logan Bye, Emilea Zingas/Vadym Kolesnik

Copying over from the ISU Challenger Series thread in GSD:
CS Tallinn Trophy entries as of Oct. 14: ...
28 Jimmy MA USA 16
29 Daniel MARTYNOV USA 16
30 Jacob SANCHEZ USA 16 - senior international debut! :)
(This is the 3rd Challenger for both Ma & Martynov which should give them byes to Nationals.)
...
14 Emily BRATTI / Ian SOMERVILLE USA 12
15 Katarina WOLFKOSTIN / Dimitry TSAREVSKI USA 12 (debuting the Senior version of their programs here)
Interesting. Volvo Cup entries are up on their Sportity app and Martynov is listed for that competition as well (only US entry - but there are other Amodio skaters entered).
Martynov is listed in today's SP starting order in Riga, Latvia but the Volvo Open Cup is not included in USFS' Intternational Assignments page (so presumably he is competing there on his own initiative/at his own expense with Florent Amodio's group).

USFS’ International Assignments page was updated today (Nov. 12) with a large contingent of skaters going to the Santa Claus Cup in Budapest in late November: https://usfigureskatingfanzone.com/...25-international-assignments-and-results.aspx

Senior: Starr Andrews, Sonja Hilmer, Lindsay Wang (her Team USA debut); Goku Endo, Beck Strommer (Sr. intl debut); Brown/Brown, Morozov/Chen
Junior: Logan Higase-Chen, Josephine Lee; Marlo Rosen (his Team USA debut); Aboian/Veselukhin
Adv. Novice: Skylar Lautowa-Peguero (her Team USA debut)

Beat me to it!

I'm a bit surprised that the Browns & MorChen are being sent here rather than the last Challenger; but the USFS seems to only want to enter 2 dance teams at any Challengers. Process of elimination would then mean Green/Parsons and Neset/Markelov are slated for Golden Spin.

I recently noticed that Bavarian Open is now the same week of nationals, so unfortunately despite being on the USFS international assignments page (with different dates), we can assume no US skaters will be competing.

Well, there might not be a full contingent, but I'm sure there's a number of ISP skaters who could use some international experience that won't make the cut for Nationals. For example, Nicholas Brooks is a high-level skater (the top-ranked NQS Junior in fact) who had an uncharacteristically sub-par showing at Sectionals and is now available to go. Whether USFS has enough resources to pull that off is another story. Nats may be an all-hands-on-deck situation.

Bumping up these links from July in this thread:
A very successful Senior & Junior Grand Prix Final for Team USA :) - 4 golds (Malinin, Chock/Bates, Glenn & Jacob Sanchez) & 2 silvers (Wolfkostin/Tsarevski-senior again at Nationals & Flores/Wang):

Although not yet published on USFS' International Assignments page, 2025 Midwestern Sectional Junior Men's champion (207.87 was the highest Sectional total score) Lorenzo Elano has been assigned to Challenge Cup, Feb. 13-16, 2025 in Tilburg, Netherlands - @marshallpond posted his GoFundMe for the competition in the U.S. Men's news thread and I’m re-posting it here (where other GFMs were posted earlier this season):

I recently noticed that Bavarian Open is now the same week of nationals, so unfortunately despite being on the USFS international assignments page (with different dates), we can assume no US skaters will be competing.
I've heard it's likely that USFS will be using another international for developmental purposes (fingers crossed).

Huge mistake sending Elyce who looks lost out on the ice right now. Send Sarah instead who has shown she can handle pressure better.

Even if Sarah was interested in skating at Jr Worlds, there is little upside.

1) she doesn't have any junior programs, so she'd have to create & train them in 4 weeks
2) less WS points available at Jr Worlds than at 4CCs
3) 4CCs and Jr Worlds are back-to-back weeks on different continents - the travel & turnaround time would not be in her favor for an optimal Jr Worlds performance, plus that time would be better spent preparing for Worlds should Isabeau withdraw (which seems pretty likely)
