Ilona Maher, the American rugby player was featured on the local news. She's famous for stiff-arming the opposition out of her path and she has been a factor in putting the US team into the semi-finals for the first time. She attended Quinnipiac(outside of New Haven, CT) because it was the only school that allowed her to play rugby as well getting her nursing degree.
