I might be blind, but I haven't noticed anyone having posted that this year is the 30th anniversary of the planned assault. Did I miss something?
Once the insurrection happened on the same day, everyone forgot about it ;)

Vaguely related but I just found out an online acquaintance of mine skated at junior nationals that year. She said she met some the senior skaters and had seen Nancy right before she got attacked.

That program layout with that music could have been amazing. Sorry, Ryan.

Ryedin has style but the skating skills could use improvement. Also, I am jealous of anyone who can grow their hair long enough to put it in a bun.

ETA and the rhino. I am jealous of the rhino in the KnC

I applaud the matching of the shirt and the hair for Sergei Evseev. Very complementary colors.

The lack of skating skills is interesting bc I’m pretty sure he ice dances with his sister (or cousin, someone with the last name). I remember that one year there were 4 kids that all had names starting with R and the same last name doing ice dance.

Kirk looks more tense than usual, but he's still doing a good job of listening to and expressing the music. Fell on the axel, but the other jumps looked good.

That scored better than I expected because it was pretty sloppy IMHO. However, he really has the it factor!

Beck skates up to the judges but stops short of Piper-ing them. Nice skate overall, despite the one fall.

Yeah, my thought as well.

We have it so made with Hagueto. He's one of the few that has broken out of that 'do the moves as they were choreographed' and makes them his own.
Agree, gimmee Haugeto and Fegan. I just hope both keep their performance quality and don’t go teen angst on us.
