and all people show this spinning on heel or toe very badly. And Selevko the elder, who made it cool and really can do it only did a half arsed effort of it today

Vinokur - Frank Sinatra "Fly Me to the Moon" - sparkly plaid vest in dark colors, white dress shirt, light navy blue pants & gloves. Israel's really starting to develop some nice depth in their men. Oh, now the music changes to "That's Life" - he's skating okay. He's starting to get visibly tired near the end here - shoulders are creeping up as he pushes through the footwork. That was pleasant enough.

I liked the blown kiss and other touches. He needs more swagger for Sinatra but that was good.

Kao Miura, program was obviously mistake ridden but I think it is a good vehicle for him!

Kao Miura - navy blue sport coat, black pants, grey dress shirt with a wide collar. Pops his opening quad into a double. Music is Umbrellas of Cherbourg which I won't complain about because that's 4 programs in a row of non-dark, obnoxious music. The jumps aren't really working for him today though. Another half-assed heel-pop on the spin. Oh, this step sequence is quite lovely. I'll probably like this program when/if he skates it clean. Really nice quad-triple there! Followed it with a 3a+2a! Not terrible.

He's never really been super-consistent. He just got lucky with his 4CCs and Jr Worlds wins in 2023.

Egadze is also wearing a shirt from the Wish inter-galactic collection, this time with red across the shoulders ombreing into black. Good first two jumping passes. Bit of a weird step out on the landing of the 3rd pass. Forward on the landings of the 3a+2a - both jumps - and the 2a looked two-footed. This music is kind of annoying again. WTH is wrong with these boys that they haven't updated their ISU bios? Also, music composer/piano player - stop pounding the piano keys so hard and playing the strings so aggressively, please? Yeowch! He totally wiped out on the death drop into his spin. He then re-started the spin a few feet away - I wonder if that will count or not... I'm guessing no because the death drop was clearly the start and failure of the element.

Shun Sato - sigh... more music I'm indifferent to - Nostos - Jean-Michel Blais, Angele Dubeau, La Pieta - Jean-Michel Blais, Devon Bate Jean-Michel Blais. Dark blue shirt that ombres to light blue on the wrist cuffs, black pants, shirt is unbutton to practically his navel but not too open. Jumps are a bit hit-and-miss so far. Aggressive tinkly piano music that turns into aggressive tinkly string music. I like his SP better. He's not fully back to being bland, vanilla spice Japanese dude, but he's getting close. Maybe he's pumpkin spice and right up @ANL's alley.

Guillaume Cizeron really delivered on Shun’s programs this season. That was beautiful! I had chills during the spreadeagle sequence.

And he's dressed in basic black.

Big quad to open with but a hand down; good 4s today! So far that hand down was the only mistake on his jumps. And then he does a minor step out, then a foot down on his next two jumping passes. Very characterful step sequence! Deep Ina Bauer into a spin which was great! Love the ending pose - like a matador!

Even with the imperfect jump landings, watching Yuma is good for my soul. Great program for him, that choreo sequence!

Chippy jumps from Yuma today and there's still some work to be done on the program, but I love the bones of it!

The young man who wants to convince us that he's a Big Bad Scary Dude now shows up in a black vest with sparkly gold trim that he might have worn to play a toreador for a ballet recital at age six. Oh, Ilia, never change.

The shirt (which is rapidly coming untucked ) is white. The vest is black and gold, and the pants are black.

Oh, Ilia... What is this costume? Puffy white shirt that has blood-stains on one sleeve and the collar, sparkly black vest - gold applique and trim on the front and collar. First two jumping passes were good, low and steps out on the 3rd; comes back strong on the next one, into a nice spin with some good hand position to go with the music. His shirt is coming untucked from his pants, lol. Next few jumping passes are fine, lol. He does the slouchy, angsty character step sequence well and the raspberry just comes out of nowhere and then a backflip right to a great crescendo in the music. Final spin has him exiting into a long, dramatic slide across the ice.
