FFSG’s press release today Nov. 27, 2024):
https://www.ffsg.org/Communique-Finale-des-Grands-Prix-ISU

Google translation:

It is with regret that we announce that Adam Siao Him Fa sustained an ankle injury during the Chinese Grand Prix. Following a thorough medical assessment, doctors have recommended a three-week break to allow for a full recovery.

Adam and his team are obviously disappointed with this situation, but the health and wellbeing of our athlete remains our top priority. This break is essential for Adam to return to full fitness, with the main aim of being ready for the European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia at the end of January.

We are confident that with proper rest and care, Adam will return to competition with all the strength and determination that characterizes him.

We thank you for your continued support and will keep you informed of Adam's progress.

French Nationals are on December 19-21. That would be 5 weeks after the injury. He obviously isn't likely to be there.

Well, no, it's 4 weeks after the injury, which happened on Nov 23rd, but I cannot imagine he will be competing at French Nationals.

The above quoted release says he aims to be ready for Euros. I’d say that answers it?

That's a big change in the middle of the season.
Neither Goldberg, nor Candeloro know why they left, if it is a career decision from L/B or if it's the french fed who decided to stop funding their training in IAM.

Edit : reflecting on this, it wouldn't likely be a decision of "the french fed", but it could be a decision of the (currently powerful) DTN (national technical direction, who supervises the high level performance) of the fed. Because as far as the elected part of the FFSG is concerned, the current number 2 of the fed is Romain Haguenauer's sister (who suggested to him "Le Parc" ballet/Mozart fo P/C back in 2014).

If it is the French Fed, they don’t have to look far to see how well that worked for gymnastics cough cough

Maybe with CPon and Reed/Amb and Smart/Dieck on the premises, they feel it’s not good to train with their closest competitors?

Maybe they don’t want to compete with Cizeron and his new partner 😉 ( I am joking. Don’t want to cause panic attacks)

Posted back on April 30 in this thread re. Lopareva/Brissaud (Petetin has been their coach for a long time):
Coach Roxane Petetin is leaving the Baraban rink in Lyon for the Meriadeck rink in Bordeaux.
Lopareva/Brissaud should follow her, spending 50% of their time in Bordeaux and 50% in Montréal.
Source : Roxane Petetin in Candeloro's streaming show Les Givrés.
ETA (and a follow-up on June 8):
OTOH, it's nice to see the decentralization in ice dance.
I've read Fabian Bourzat is moving to Brest (Charlène Guignard's ex club).
We already knew that Roxanne Petetin was moving to Bordeaux.
The west coast is attracting coaches.
Happy to see the undoing of the "everyone must go to same center" policy.

Gabriella Papadakis posted this video last week:

ETA that her latest Instagram stories show her working with Layla Karnes (GBR), who's visiting Montreal.
Christina Carreira said Papadakis worked with them also sometime before CoC (although I suspect it was in London since they don't seem to have been in Montreal for a bit)

L/B may be training full time in France at the moment, but according to Geoffrey's instagram post today it seems IAM are still coaching them.

For anyone who can't see it, this is included in the caption:
I don't take that as anything indicative of them still working with IAM, actually. He's thanking them for the great start to the season, which very well could be a quiet way of an adieu thanking them for their coaching in general.

I just posted the news in their fan thread:

3 posts by Nick McCarvel: https://x.com/nickmccarvel/status/1863950085844820428
More of their statement: "We owe this career to our coaches, parents, federation, choreographers, physical & mental coaches, costume designers, agents, physiotherapists, doctors, supporters, journalists without whom we would never have reached the highest level of our art" (2/3)
"It is with immense gratitude that we decide to turn the page. A huge thank you to our public for the pleasure shared with us on the ice." (3/3)
