TBH I'm shocked if that really is the team! As much as I hoped Jason would make it, Ilia deserved it and we all know it.

I understand why they made the Tiers, but by doing so they put themselves in a very tough spot for Vincent - he had to go even though Ilia would quite frankly be the better choice.

There's no way the USFS is going to release Malinin. He would have to sit out at least two seasons without the release, IIRC.

Sorry they didn't go with Ilia, but I have no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him. And he very well may be looking at a Junior World title in the very near future.

There is zero point to send Brown to fight for a top 7 finish based on today. None.

Had the jumps been scored more accurately, this would’ve been a huge blowout on Malinin’s part.

I love Jason's skating but this was just wrong. Would they have done the same thing to Lindsay if she hadn't had an uncharacteristic long program meltdown and ended up in 2nd? I'm guessing yes going by this.

Ding ding ding! This is far worse than passing over Miner in 2018. Between the junior international season being wiped out last year and the GPF/JGPF being cancelled due to Omicron, Ilia didn't have a fighting chance to do much more than he did.
