Nakai - strange, bent waist landing on the 2a; her other jumps were okay, but low GOE compared to most of the rest of the field. Nice skate, but it felt a bit tight all around. I'd have her behind Elyce, but these judges will probably give her excessive PCS for what she delivered today. She's had better skates than this.

2a off axis and hunched over on landing, 3f better, 3z-3t, wonderful basics and good feeling for the music, more mature theme than blockbuster movies or rock music, too

The clean skates just go on and on. What more could anyone ask for? Ami was SO fast in her change of positions in her spin combo. This has been such a great competition so far.

3z-3r obvious edge change on lutz and flipped out of loop, 2a, nice flying camel, 3f perhaps slight two foot, really needed her steady consistency in a field this deep, spins with good clarity of position and nice speeding up feature on last one

Karhunen - 3lz+3lo - flipped out on the loop; 2a fine; 3f - maybe a slight two-foot? Other than that, not bad. TES is pretty low and she may not crack 60, which would put Shifrin into the penultimate group. We'll see what kind of PCS she gets to possibly keep her in the mix.

Real lack of commitment with her ending pose for Jia. Should be behind Elyce at minimum, really should be behind Kaoruko & Elina too, IMO, but I expect PCS to keep her ahead of them.

Hmmmm... Ted says the 3T is < after review. Maybe the PCS won't be able to hold her up enough.

ETA - whoa! Judges did it! Behind Goidina. Won't make the final group for the FS.
