it does - and the thing is, skating skills are just one component of PCS, so I can understand the other components being higher (and they are).

This is such a ridiculous argument. You constantly go off on PCS scores as well, and somehow when Shaidorov or Egadze get much higher than earned PCS it's all logical to trash them, but Malinin goes and does his quads, he's rewarded with PCS similar to the great foundational skaters and somehow it must all be fair.

He knows he has to work on his basics, he's said it. He's not a Chan or Kagiyama skater. Nowhere near it. He doesn't have multidirectional ease, he doesn't have deep long edges, and his posture is all over the place reaching at times. There are criteria that can be analyzed without it being 10 rows up in person, and especially as someone who has some skating background
