Bombardier has an unusual arm placement on her jumps. She often seems out of control on the rotation.
Totally. The adjective I'd use is "disorganized". She also has some bad habits that may have worked for her when she was smaller/younger but should have been corrected by now.

Decent skate from Abby, fell on a couple of jumps (flip & loop) but then landed them later in combination. Needs to work on her artistry. I enjoyed Karon as well, she has a lovely lyrical package. Fiona needs to work on her finesse. Baltzer still in 2nd.

Landry is a really nice skater! Oops as I typed that she had a bad splat on her triple loop. But she impressed me at the Next Gen event and did some nice stuff here oops she just fell on her triple flip. I still think she's a nice skater.

I remember her in Pre novice and was the same. Good power, not great posture or stretch.

I think that full body splat on the loop rattled her a bit.

Fée Ann Landry:
2a2t, 3lo very nice, 3lz hand down, 3f2t, 3lo leaning and bad fall, 3f fall, 2s

Jumps got a bit messy towards the end, but she does have very good spring. Still developing her presentation and connection to the music.

LP: 85.12 Total: 142.76

Will be interesting to see how these 13/14 year olds develop over the next quad. They still have to grow and develop more connection with the music etc but technically holding their own with the 17-18 year olds.

Kara Yun:
3lz3t, 3lo step out, 3f2t2lo, 3s fall, 2a-2a, 3f, 3lz step out

Nice use of her arms and upper body. Could work on flow overall, especially coming out of her jumps.

LP: 94.92 Total: 156.3

Yun is definitely putting herself in contention for one of the remaining JGP with that score.

Justine Miclette:
3f-turnout-2t, 3t1eu2s, 3lz2t, 3lo fall, 3f fall, 3s, 2a

Great speed and huge jumps. Not a perfect skate, and I do think the style of her SP suits her better, but she has made good progress in her presentation since last season. She is quickly becoming one of my faves.

LP: 103.48 Total: 169.74

Miclette keeps improving, though she missed a couple of jumps here. I hope she'll get a senior international later in the season.
I really enjoy watching her. Strong, but flexible. She's a cross between Kaetlyn Osmond and Joannie Rochette.

I really like Justine, I would rather the older ones who are more ready do the jpg and develop confidence for seniors.

I was watching diving from the Commonwealth Games but it finished just in time for the last group of senior pairs and hopefully I'll be able to catch the last group of junior women as well.

I'm a bit behind because I paused this stream to watch the last US senior pairs team at Cup of Colorado.

Matte/Ferland skating to "Leave a Light On"... 'nuff said, moving right along...

Matte and Ferland had a few struggles on jumps and throws, their twist was rough but they seemed to get good GOE On their lifts per the tracker. I do admire their perseverance and relative longevity (their ISU bio goes back to 2015-2016 where they were sixth at nationals in junior).

Laurin/Ethier struggled early in the program but got stronger as it went on. I can't see them not getting one of the SCI TBD spots.

I'm impressed with what Laurin/Étheir put out here. I don't really remember them from before and their junior international results were not great. I sure hope Skate Canada will get them some international assignments, maybe even SCI. Would be a shame to give away host spots.

Foot slipped away on the throw lutz, but great technical upgrade for Deanna and Max.

Little messy today as expected this early, but I cannot believe how much more polished they look. They’ve spent a ton of time on their unison.
