Props to Sherry Zhang who goes into her jumps without looking like a deer in the headlights! She skates with attack and verve for a 14 year old. Her loop and lutz were gorgeous!
Sherry has the highest NQS total score (186.59 at Skate St. Moritz earlier this month) of the U.S. Junior women right now -- I found a copy of her FS (72.82 TES + 53.13 PCS = 125.95 / 182.44 total) from Glacier Falls in late July: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWYgxwALHuk
She landed all of her jumps in Anaheim, CA -- 3Lo, 3Lz+2T, 3T off balance landing, 3Lz, 3F+2A+2A, 3F+2T & 3S (similar layout as in her JGP in Budapest earlier today except for leaving off a 2T after her flip, so only 2 combos in Budapest).

Not that we're aware of.

I think Lindsay has the goods to beat her domestically, though we have yet to see how she'll score against a tougher international panel since she WD from ACI. Guess we'll find out about Bradie if she shows up at Budapest Trophy in a few weeks. I don't think Starr has the tech to catch Isabeau. Who else is there?
I think Lindsay will beat Isabeau this season. USFS just heavily favors Isabeau for whatever reason.

My only concern with Lindsay is that her growth (bodice). Maybe she’s figured a way to overcome that.

I want to pick 4. Teryn because I think she has potential, Sherry because she could place top 5 again, Mia because she could place top 5, and Sarah could place top 5. So in essence I can't decide.

So who have we not seen skate this season so far that you're looking most forward to? I want more info on Amber's programs. Do we have more dramatique ballads to look forward to??

Isabeau Levito and Lucas Broussard are co-listing each other as coaches on their ISU profiles! Really cute! I sense extreme like...

Can we fan-wank for Isabeau & Lucas and Lindsay & Jacob? We've already got the cuteness that is Starr & Danil. We need more, lol.
Much as I love matchmaking myself (direct descendant of Yenta, I believe) let’s go easy on the underage romance here. Skaters read here (god forbid, given the nonsense above) and teenagers don’t need any more reason to be embarrassed or self-conscious. :)

Haven`t seen Sarah in Gdansk but as of today I would pick Lin-Gracey though I like Zhang too. Neither girl skates scared and they appear to want to win.

Have we answered Sylvia’s question? Maybe Sherry Zhang is now our strongest Jr female, after Budapest? I’m not sure that Josephine’s showing at the Broadmoor NQS Senior division yesterday was enough…won the LP but true-Senior-aged Wren won overall. At this stage, no US jr-aged woman will make the Jr GP final. US is looking at strongest future in Dance, overall.

Sarah is assigned for this penultimate week in Gdansk. @Sylvia ’s Q was about the last US women’s spot in the final event in Yerevan. Lin-Gracey was initially assigned… and my main choice of Annika Chao got the final US spot:

Hoorah! May the cameras capture both of her programs “live” in Yerevan (unlike Bangkok)!

Annika is the placeholder for the 2nd spot - USFS has not yet confirmed the name of the 2nd woman for Yerevan on their International Assignments page (still listed as "TBD" as of now).

Bradie replaced Lindsay at Shanghai Trophy.
I hope Lindsay is okay and will be ready to compete in her first GP at Skate Canada.

I’d like to see Cleo Park get the opportunity. She scored 180 at Skate St Moritz, which is the highest score for someone not already assigned to a JGP, not to mention higher than some of the girls who did get assignments (Kalin, Josephine Lee, etc.)

^^^ I think Cleo has improved a lot this summer so I would be fine with that, too. I agree with what @emilieh posted in the U.S. Club & NQS competitions thread in Kiss & Cry after watching the 3 of them skate at Skate St. Moritz a couple of weeks ago:
Sherry Zhang was really excellent. A lot more power in her skating than I remember her having last year. Cleo Park did great as well, but didn't have the same strength/flow IMO. I like Annika Chao's skating too, she just didn't have all her jumps this time and the other two did. Seems like they are all doing well training together and pushing each other.
I'm looking forward to seeing which U.S. junior women end up competing at next month's Kings Cup International in El Segundo, CA and, hopefully, Tayside Trophy in Dundee.

Speaking of which (and apologies for the OT): does anyone have any idea when we’ll see the entries for King’s Cup? At this rate it seems like it’ll just be a day or two before like a normal NQS.

On the ISU entries page, she has never had an "S" next to her name - hence why she is the "Placeholder". The USFS Int'l Assignments page still lists only Lin-Gracey and TBD.
That’s USFS… but both Gracey & Chao are numbered entries on the event list!

Whoever doesn’t like: 🤪 🤪 🤪 To you from San Juan, Puerto Rico!

🤦‍♂️

Someone has to be named in the ISU entries, and can be replaced by any of the substitutes listed. If the USFS is only listing one skater as confirmed, the other is considered a placeholder- as has been explained.
